In addition to the disgusting fact that he's sexualizing a child, saying she's more dangerous than the literal Devil (described in a completely extrabibilical way), his exegesis is pretty terrible. There are many ways to interpret many texts... and he is doing it wrong here.

I'm not sure how wide the gap is between English Lit and history but I'd always imagined the scholarly method is somewhat similar?
