These young Iranian protesters from the January 2026 nationwide uprising face imminent execution in Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison.
They are among those sentenced to death in the “Alikhani Square” case. Alireza and Abolfazl (cousins, also related by marriage) have already been transferred to solitary confinement and granted what their family describes as a final farewell visit, including with their mother, who is herself imprisoned. Other co-defendants in the same case have already been executed. Multiple human-rights reports confirm the death sentences (Alireza facing four, Abolfazl three) were upheld with serious concerns about fair-trial violations, lack of access to evidence, and denial of proper defense.
Their lives hang by a thread. Every hour counts.
We urgently call on:
Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, UN Special Rapporteurs on Iran and extrajudicial executions, the EU, the US government, world leaders, and all human-rights defenders:
➡️ Demand the immediate halt of these executions
➡️ Call for a full independent review of the cases
➡️ Pressure the Iranian authorities to stop using the death penalty against protesters and dissidents

🚨 Reports indicate that scaffolding has been erected in Alikhani Square, Isfahan, while the area is under heavy security lockdown.

Abolfazl Sepahi, Alireza Sepahi, and Amirhossein Safari have reportedly been transferred to solitary confinement and are believed to face imminent execution.
