Before you call me a dweeb, listen to my economic argument:-

See, indirect taxes were *simplified* in 2024.
Direct taxes too will be *simplified* in 2025.

More taxes means *less* rupee with you.

Let's say you had 100Rs with 5% fall in rupee.
The total impact on you due to falling rupee= 5Rs

Now, you have 50, with 10% fall on rupee.
The total impact on you due to falling rupee= 5Rs
