@condomrocket@holo_cene@nonzerosumgain Yup I’d have it just for the pertussis. (My partner has lung damage from whooping cough as an adult, despite prior infection as a child and prior vaccination.)
Stupid mistake to be made though.
The guidance for school ventilation (BB101) has not been updated since 2018.
Back in January, the govt gave assurances that:
“An updated set of standards will be published in early 2026”.
It is nearly June.
Where is the updated guidance?!

@1goodtern The last 3 days have had someone burning something resulting in us having to close all the windows. Unfortunately it still seeps in and makes my teens neurological condition worse. AND we boil in the heat. You are right, they are specifically selfish and stupid.
@1goodtern I’m sorry you are suffering this too. We spent all winter having to keep windows closed from 2pm when a neighbour lights their wood burner & the smoke blows into our house. Finally warmer weather & we are free of that. But no someone else starts with the frequent bonfires…
The temperature is over 30° and one of our neighbours is burning a chopped down tree in their garden, filling up all our houses with smoke when closing the windows turns the house into an oven.
Some people are just so spectacularly a) inconsiderate and b) stupid.
Incredible speech delivered by Baroness Linforth in the House of Lords today calling for clean indoor air in schools.
“It would cost less than a tenner per child per year to provide pupils and staff with clean air - about the same cost as a coffee and a cake.”

Just a friendly reminder that a few weeks before the lockdowns of 2020, the risk to the public from COVID on a Cruise Ship was “extremely low” according to the WHO and other international public health bodies.
They’ll tell you it’s “low” when it isn’t.
Worth remembering.
A med student somewhere right now is using AI to cheat through coursework while not understanding:
• airborne transmission
• asymptomatic spread
• incubation
• mutation
• viral persistence/chronic infection
And the system may still hand them the keys to thousands of human lives.
That’s the part people don’t want to talk about.
We are rapidly automating credentialing while simultaneously downgrading deep understanding.
A handful of scientists and clinicians see the danger clearly.
I met one last night.
I’d like to meet more before this becomes irreversible.
@zhouliang_mask@LarissaFanTO Would it be possible to have more profusion away from the chin/mouth?
My daughter finds the frame touching the lower part of her face challenging. (Nose fit is good for her)
Thank you for continuing to work on this.
It's the day of the month where I ask myself if I'm crazy to be thinking that people are getting sicker and sicker, and then the NHS Staff sickness absence rate data comes out and the answer is: No, I'm not crazy, and yes, people are just getting sicker and sicker.
In 2006 there were 165,000 hospital beds open in England
Now there are 140,000 beds
25,000 beds cut in 20 years
The NHS model hasn’t changed
It’s just smaller!
@EvonneTCurran@UKHSA Why do they suggest sleeping in the same dormitory is a risk but sharing a classroom isn’t?
What makes sleeping or sharing a house different to sharing a classroom or office, which many people do 8hours a day.
Children under 12, including those who have health risks making them Clinically Vulnerable, cannot even purchase a private vaccine in the UK.
Children with:
Down's Syndrome
Diabetes
Heart conditions
Cancer
@wesstreeting
@DrNeenaJha Who becomes accountable for harm to the patient when they fall into this limbo of the GP saying the need to be seen by a specialist, but the specialist clinic (as you say “who”) has rejected it.
Puts gp’s and patients in a terrible situation.
You know how it was proven that Covid massively increases your risk of dementia & how every infection has been proven to cause a degree of cognitive impairment, with sequential cognitive damage?
Why isn’t that a big deal?
Let this sink in...
🚑 HEALTHY adults vaccinated against Covid Sept - Dec 2025 reduced their likelihood of emergency and urgent care visits by 50%.
🏨 Hospitalisations were reduced by 55%
(compared with those not vaccinated)

The UK has not shared data from 2025. But for CV people it is much worse:
2024 JCVI data showed that vaccines reduced hospitalisations for Clinically Vulnerable people by 45%.
They published it!
...then removed millions with health conditions from eligibility!

However, back to the good news...
Because the UK are now purchasing it, it means that Sanofi may also become available on the private the UK market.
We hope that pharmacy giants like @BootsUK, @Avicennaplc and @pharmadoctoruk realise there is pent up demand.
