The average Canadian family earned $166,790 last year and handed $72,539 of it to the government.
That is 43.5% of everything it earned.
At what percentage does a free man stop being free?

We are certain that all of the “financial auditors” who spent the last year scrutinizing every penny of our *actual* savings and cost avoidances will have no problem applying the same rigorous standard to your achievements. We look forward to your office sharing those findings with the public in the near term.
Yea 💯
I avoided relationships for almost a decade after encountering a narcissist.
Found who I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with who pretended to be caring and understanding. The second I mentioned feeling dismissed and on the back burner it blew up into a giant fight and it’s over.
The cherry on top this “understanding survivor” of her own abuse refused to see any perspective beyond her own and refused to even have a conversation about what happened. Would only communicate via text and kept avoiding real conversation about the conflict.
3 diff times after a week of silence each time, I started to heal and she reaches out with emotional bread crumbing messages like “I want it but I’m scared” “I think about you daily and hope you’re okay” and “Maybe the universe had me reach out to you”
Yet those aren’t bread crumbing to her and my feelings are “illusions”
According to her I “checked all the boxes” and can be “open and honest with her.” Until I was. Then the shit hit the fan and once again I find another person who doesn’t actually mean what they say.
I adapted as much as I could to her life and her child and was actually feeling like this could work long term, yet when I needed her it was conflict rather than caring. She refused to even let me say goodbye to her daughter, who’s 5 and internalizes abandonment as their faults at that age.
So tired of performative empathy.
Stay single.
Life is so much easier and comfortable without other people’s messes.
In life, you must choose your regrets.
“You'll regret it if you get married. You'll regret it if you don't get married. You'll regret it if you have kids, and you'll regret it if you don't.
Kierkegaard said this 200 years ago as follows:
‘Whatever you choose, you'll regret it. Because the problem isn't in your choices; it's in romanticizing a life you haven't lived.
A person always finds an untraveled path alluring and mysterious.
That's why the issue isn't making the right choice.
It's choosing and deciding which regret you'll live with.’
What have you decided?” — Salih Guney
What you’re describing above are known as “phuc boys” not men.
It’s the male equivalent of a slut. Guys who brag about their body count and think it gives them status are no different than females that do the same.
The reason it seems one sided is you don’t seem to realize not all men are phuc boys. Just like not all women are sluts.
They’re the same thing but your mind has been warped into seeing “all men as the same”
That’s literally the same kind of sexism feminists complain to hate when men exhibit that way of thinking….
Isn’t psychology weird? How often we project our own biases onto the world and then act confused when things don’t make sense from that lens.
Here is what we know: U.S. taxpayer money, funneled through USAID and NIH, funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That research likely caused the COVID pandemic that killed millions and cost trillions.
Dr. Fauci personally signed off on these experiments, then lied to Congress about it. Biden tried to protect him with a last-minute pardon. That’s the very definition of a cover-up.
