Built AI agents to retain 2 years of Kellogg MBA course material before I graduate. (Inspired by Andrej Karpathy’s "second brain").
Output: an organized index of over ~2000 files of my class materials into Obsidian.

The architecture relies on one orchestrator and three worker agents: a Fetcher that navigates unique course structures, a Librarian that synthesizes concepts into wikis, and a Search agent that maintains a local index for cross-course queries.

A few notes for myself as a Builder PM in agentic Era -

Breaking down the problem into different agents was not a pure product decision, but also significantly about the context bloat management, agent learning loops and evals.

Progress accelerated dramatically once I built an automated learning loop. The orchestrator ran a worker on one course, checked performance against custom evals defined by me, updated the worker's prompt based on the results, and iterated.

Building on a student budget forced me to optimize token usage. I set up a workflow where Claude Haiku attempted tasks first. If it failed the eval, the orchestrator escalated the task to Sonnet with Haiku’s work context. This saved tokens and sped up processing.
