There is a sentiment emerging that the injuries in PGA Tour golfers are related to their swing speed.
Firstly, any non-contact injury is multifactorial, and all of these factors need to be addressed when an injury or pain occurs.
Secondly, there is no such thing as too much speed. Only if you don't have the physical capacity and strength to support it.
Why aren't we seeing the level of back injuries in long drivers like that on the PGA Tour?
They hit alot of balls at much higher speeds.
Maybe because they are all big and strong 🤔
Maybe these PGA tour guys should quit training like golfers and train to be bigger, stronger, faster athletes.
If the golfers you work with are serious about their performance, there are two areas they should never be held back by:
1) Poorly fit equipment
2) Unidentified physical restrictions
These are non-negotiable for us. Equipment and physical limitations can be major performance bottlenecks, yet both are easily uncovered when you assess instead of guess.
The solution can be identified in minutes, not months.

"We're so afraid for our kids to be exposed to hard things.
Hard is good.
The earlier you can learn to deal with hard- the easier it gets.
Whether we want to shield our kids from it or not, hard is coming- high school, college, first job- hard is coming." @gregolsen88
“The people that are leaders on your team have to be committed to doing things the right way."
Leadership isn't about establishing rules.
Leadership is about setting standards.
Leadership isn’t about telling people what to do. It’s about showing them what excellence looks like.
“It’s not understood by the common fan that practice is more important than the game but it certainly is here,” Kirby Smart
Winners understand the relentless effort, discipline and enthusiasm you give in practice lay the foundation to success.
It’s so satisfying watching Keegan Bradley win — I think that’s because he acts the way we hope we would in his position. Like he genuinely can’t believe how cool it is. As fired up after No. 7 as No. 1. What a win. I’d play for this guy
The most efficient rotational athletes in the world tend to be able to dissociate their upper body and lower body.

HOW YOU PRACTICE IS WHO YOU ARE
"How you practice is who you are. Nobody wants a complainer. I want somebody smart, tough, fast, disciplined with character." @DeionSanders
Everyone I’ve talked to associated with little league and travel ball tells me kids have to play baseball year round.
But I listened to the best baseball agent in the game Scott Boras on the @DigginDeepPod and he says don’t do it.
Typically the top people in every sport give completely different advice than all the people trying to get to the top.
