It's high time that it was a legal requirement to protect disabled bays in private car parks. Disability is one of the protected characteristics in UK Equality Law and it is pretty difficult to get a blue badge in the first place. If you have one, display it. #dobetter

Hi @premierinn this is the disabled car park at my hotel, only one car has a blue badge on display, there is also a work van that is parked in a disabled bay

As someone registered disabled, I had to walk from the very back of the car park due to no enforcement for this atrocity

The law says a guide dog is necessary medically and cannot legally be refused. And the organisations that train and provide guide dogs are pretty strict on ensuring the dogs are cared for.

@MotabilityOps This isn't how you make life accessible for disabled people. It's bad enough that your second fit teams for wheelchair accessible vehicles can get away with damaging clients wheelchairs with impunity and yoyr wav providers don't have to provide vehicles that work.

Even after I stressed to @Motability that we lived 1 mile up a lane in rural Perthshire
They kept saying they’d “only facilitate my needs not my wants” but a 4x4 vehicle “wasn’t a necessity”

@kadamssl This is why we should teach critical thinking skills and things like information provenance in second level education instead of waiting until university, everyone would benefit from understanding how to check if information is likely to be accurate or not.
