Agreed - I found a simple prompt after initial spec implementation followed up by a bunch of vibe coding would be ran to try to keep things in sync. Basically:

"Review the specifications and update them to the current code implementation so that we are aligned. Make no mistakes."

This helps at least give me an updated starting point for a feature if I need to regenerate it again later.

Has anyone managed to use a licensed application on Omarchy - or is everyone all in on building vs buying?

To be honest... it was the first to really make spec-driven development a top-tier approach. Their process is good, structured, and executes pretty cleanly... That being said, it is not perfect (the approach) - just because a spec exists does not mean it is referenced after generation. So that can be a bit frustrating when you add something new, or vibe a change, and the spec is out of scope or is not considered on a new thing.

The other thing that I appreciated about it, it had better focus than Google on specific instructions. Google has a tendency to make holistic changes, Kiro seems to listen better and scope the changes more effectively. THAT saves time and money.
