NOETIK has received the AI Catalyst for Health Award from @CALifeSciences

At Noetik, we’re building biological foundation models trained on multimodal data from human tumors to improve clinical outcomes in oncology.

This award recognizes organizations using AI to advance research and patient care. Credit goes to the entire Noetik team, who continue to work tirelessly to open treatment options for patients who need them most.

you still have to do the hard stuff: to build an ai company in bio, you also need to build a bio company.

Today, we are welcoming Ashish Bhandari to the NOETIK team as Head of Portfolio Strategy. Ashish will help shape and prioritize our pipeline and strategic direction as we continue to advance our biological foundation models toward clinical impact.

Ashish joins us from Recursion, where he most recently served as Executive Director, Head of Portfolio Strategy. Over seven years there, his work spanned discovery, translational medicine, clinical development, pipeline strategy, early commercial strategy, and business development.

Before Recursion, he spent nearly five years in life sciences competitive intelligence at Pointe Advisory. Ashish has built his career on turning scientific evidence into decisions people can trust and act on. His deep experience across science and strategy will strengthen our next phase of growth as we work to improve clinical success in oncology.

We’re excited to welcome Vijay Parthasarathy as VP, AI-Enabled Diagnostics.

Vijay will help shape how Noetik’s biological foundation models inform diagnostics, guide treatment decisions, and enroll the right patients in clinical trials.

He brings two decades of leadership at the intersection of R&D, product, and commercial strategy in cancer diagnostics and medical imaging - most recently as Chief Product & Strategy Officer at Sunbird Bio, and previously as VP of Product for multi-cancer early detection at Exact Sciences.

Thrilled to have him on the team.

Today I visited @NOETIK_ai headquarters in South SF, with @Ronalfa. Incredibly impressive. I haven't been this excited about a company in while - exactly how real bio AI companies should be operating. 🔥

@Ronalfa and Kim Branson sat on the @SynBioBeta 2026 main stage in May and described what their $50M partnership would mean if it worked.

This morning they announced the first milestone is done 🎉

[NOETIK @NOETIK_ai]

Announcing today that Noetik has achieved the first near-term milestone in our landmark collaboration with @GSK.

Earlier this year, we delivered and deployed the OCTO-VC model inference and fine-tuning capabilities, meeting GSK's testing criteria. Because the models simulate gene expression, cell states and tumor-immune interactions, GSK researchers can generate data for hypothesis exploration instantly speeding their learning cycles.

Noetik CEO @Ronalfa joined the @_onceascientist to discuss how tech-bio transformed the pace of scientific discovery. Traditionally, science has moved one hypothesis and one experiment at a time. Ron traces the shift to around 2020, when his own work in the field started generating massive datasets upfront, before knowing exactly which questions they'd ask.

In conversation with @Nick___Edwards, Ron shares how Noetik applies that same principle to human tumor data, building large-scale datasets and training biological foundation models to help close the gap between early oncology research and the clinic.

Biological foundation models are getting remarkably good at scientific reasoning. But according to our CEO @Ronalfa, the public data they train on is often riddled with gaps and errors. This week on @MTSlive, he explained that when models learn from thousands of cases of real patient data instead, they produce sharper, more useful answers on cancer treatment.

The conversation around AI and biology is accelerating, touching everything from autonomous research agents to precision oncology. Noetik CEO and co-founder @Ronalfa is speaking at two of the events shaping that conversation this next week: @scsp_ai Special Competitive Studies Project - SCSP’s AI+ Discovery Summit and @decodingbio’s AI x Bio Summit.

→ Tuesday, July 21: Washington, D.C. Speaking at SCSP’s AI+ Discovery Summit, on the “Unlocking Scientific Potential: Training the Machine” panel.

→ Thursday, July 23: New York Stock Exchange. On the “Pharma Deal Breakdown” panel with Inceptive, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, and GSK, moderated by Rohan Ganesh of Obvious Ventures.

SITUATION EXPLAINED: Why is the cancer drug bottleneck clinical success not drug discovery?

We asked @Ronalfa, co-founder and CEO of @NOETIK_ai

"Pharma companies have tons of programs that they're working on at any given time. They basically bring them into portfolio review and every year decide which targets they're gonna push forward. Generally there is an abundance of new targets and pharma companies are not moving forward all the targets that they could move forward into the clinic."

"The bottleneck really is, one, clinical development is a bottleneck because it's very expensive. You can't afford to run every drug that you develop. But also it's a bottleneck because most things fail. Ninety percent of drugs fail in the clinic."

"So if you increase the top of the funnel to push more things into the clinic and most things are still failing, it becomes really hard to impact probability of success by increasing the top of the funnel."

"That's why our focus is, if we can make drugs more successful in the clinic, that's probably the best lever for getting new drugs approved."

"If we can go from 90% of the drugs fail to 80% of the drugs fail, which is still insane that that many drugs fail, but that's where you're really gonna impact new medicines for patients."
