@SociologenHD The real reason it's being censored is because it suggests you don't need the state in order to get justice and public order. A state can survive being seen as incompetent or even evil, but it can't survive being seen as unnecessary.
@MartinSellner_ Lesson: don't be good or feel any empathy towards people outside your tribe/nation/civilization. They will exploit it as a weakness, and they will be right to do so.
@Fat_Electrician Hammer drill? Pff. Silly American. Will a hammer drill help you get permission from the European Commission of Permissible Perpendicular Perforations?
@Jason As a Cuban, I would love this. But I can't in good conscience allow you to ruin America like that. Maybe if you make them territories and don't give the inhabitants voting and welfare rights for the next three generations.
@ShitpostRock2 No. Dictatorships are better at doing stuff. But this also includes doing stupid stuff. The same capacity to build metros in every city allows them to do dumb stuff like the cultural revolution or the One Child Policy. Republics are slower but more balanced.
@The_Davos_Man Likewise, it is a disgrace how nice America's democratic allies are to Xi, while treating Trump with utter contempt. But we don't talk about that.
@JoelWBerry Correct, but some nuance: embracing tradition is not always good, but rejecting it is always bad. The modernization of Japan worked because it built upon Japanese tradition instead of trying to do a clean slate. Clean slates are what revolutions try to do. We know how those end.
