Always good to cycle some "new" miles, and I clocked up a few yesterday, west of Kirkwhelpington, and back through Colt Crag Reservoir & Thockrington. Included St. Aidan's Church, dating back to the 11th century. Gorgeous. Nothing but curlews and sheep for company! @NorthumbriaCC

The last time I saw one was, bizarrely, on a cycle ride, embedded in concrete beside a ford on a tiny road in Northumberland. You can just make out the words on the close up! @NorthumbriaCC
