Funny how it’s just Liverpool fans calling us an embarrassment and the rest of the league are cheering us on.

For me, this is actually a win for football, especially for clubs outside the so called “legacy six.”

Forget PSR for a moment, what this really does is set a precedent. Sure, every player has a price, but that price should reflect their true value to their current club, not what a bigger club decides they’re worth.

Isak won’t be sold for a penny less than Newcastle see him worth to them and also without replacements.

The “big six” shouldn’t be able to cherry-pick whoever they like and pressure clubs finishing below them into selling their best players.

And it also clips the wings of agents. Just look at the backlash Isak’s agent has faced over this. Their usual playbook doesn’t look quite as powerful anymore.

Kudos to Brentford by holding firm on Wissa also. No player is bigger than their football club. #NUFC #LFC
