@GregFinberg Need a vet that won't get injured to fill the Bagley/Valanciunas role that's obviously wide open, probably in FA. That's in addition to drafting the biggest frame at PF/C available when they pick tonight.
@MattModderno I wasn't at first but in reality I'll pay the premium while we have the money to spend. If it means our offense never looks like the previous few seasons I think that's worth it.
@lockedonwizards On one hand I really think AJ will be special, on the other hand I trust the people that got the team to this point so I would withold judgement if DP, or even Boozer is their guy.
@GregFinberg If I'm management I'm pointing to how last year played out for CJ and asking him to tough it out until January or February, even if on lower minutes/conservative towards injury.
@SimoneSyed Counterpoint, if I push blue and die for it then I have abandoned my family who has selected red. Sometimes self preservation is in the interest of serving those that matter to you most. not arguing which button but I am arguing that the psychology is not this black and white.
@davidaldridgedc@TheAthletic I am excited for the future of this team, finally. The past near-decade has felt like a gauntlet of basketball horrors with no light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully these final games of a painful era really are the Wizards turning the page.
@GregFinberg It's still inconceivable to be this bad in that situation. One hopes they break the 5 way deadlock but they seem unable to help themselves.
I don't understand how anyone can watch Cameron Boozer at his best and not have him in the same tier of prospect as AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson. All three are special, and are deserving of top rankings. But there's no way Boozer shouldn't at least be in the same tier...
@KeithSmithNBA Outside of their recent hot streak (of being near average) I agree, it's detrimental. They probably let him rest, showcase the ghost of Middleton, and lose enough to be comfortably bottom 3 then we see him again. Excited for that day.
@TheDunkCentral@TheSteinLine More confident CJ is ready to contribute to a contender than any player the Wiz have shopped in recent memory he's been hooping this year.
@Deetalksalot You give him the same shot that the O's gave Hyde. No reason to cut ties until expectations aren't met, which as of recently, they are being exceeded.
@JoshuaBRobbins@TermineRadio Maybe for the next couple years but once they have to pay up after those rookie contracts I think it looks a lot more like a wash. The apron is inevitable.
