HOW TO EXPECT GREAT THINGS FROM YOURSELF
When you have lost all faith in yourself and your expectations are very bleak, understand this.
Your expectations from yourself are the boundary beyond which you cannot go.
Henry Ford put it elegantly. "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't—you're right."
However I'd like to leave you with a little more insight into this because your expectations limit your identity, your health, your wellness, your capability and your destiny. So they're supremely important.
How does it come to be, that you expect nothing great from yourself and you don't believe anything substantial can come from you?
It happens when people around you have been very negative about you. And it somehow felt safe to your mind to limit yourself to their poor expectations.
Understand this converse mechanism today.
People expect something from a child. Let's say they want him or her to become a doctor. The child is surprised but settles and begins to expect it too.
Then there's a barrage of criticism that follows when the child is just being a child. "How can you waste time like this, being a doctor is not easy. You need to study."
And then there's the comparisions, either with other kids who are studying to be doctors or with the parent's own achievements when they were kids. "When I was your age I studied for 12 hours that's why I made it to the best medical school."
Now the child is surprised again that they don't expect him or her to be a doctor anymore but instead, they blame the child for not being good enough for the first expectation.
WHEN A BUNCH OF PEOPLE EXPECT YOU TO FAIL YOUR MIND DOES NOT FEEL SAFE TO SUCCEED.
That's the converse mechanism called "let's hurt them by failing". It's very subconscious, so you're not aware of how shabby this is. Because you hurt yourself too. And why should you hurt anyone anyway?
Your life then becomes about pretending about the goal. Doing the bare minimum and having zero ownership about the goal.
How to get out of this converse safety?
Step 1: You need feedback that you're a good and capable person. And this must be based in truth.
How to achieve this? Pick something difficult to do and do it. For example I'm going to be teaching a massive sadhana starting this Ganesh Chaturthi called the Vighnaharta Challenge. Follow me on youtube and dedicate yourself to it. You can also try my 10 hard, 20 hard and 40 hard challenges. (Start with 10 hard, they're all on my youtube channel)
WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING HARD YOU START BELIEVING IN YOURSELF
Step 2: Do harder things and invite others to help you. Like solving a problem for society. Restore a temple, repair a school, establish a hospital, anything good.
Step 3: Do even harder things, solve even bigger problems on a citywide, statewide or nationwide scale.
Step 4: Solve world problems.
If nobody believes in you, I STILL DO.
If nobody expects any good from you, I STILL DO.
And I always will. To be human is to be good.

NOBODY NEEDS TO CONCENTRATE
Concentration is needed only when you have distractions.
Distractions happen because you haven’t got the frame right.
The frame is just 4 questions but if you get the answers wrong, you’re so screwed.
1. Who am I ?
2. Who am I with ?
3. What are we doing together ?
4. Is the environment supportive or not ?
Consider a startup founder who gets overwhelmed and distracted and then seeks to learn yoga to concentrate.
Because he has heard of the legendary powers of yogis to manifest something into existence by just concentrating on it long enough.
Let’s apply the frame after drinking a tall glass of honesty.
Who is he? A startup founder who doesn’t have enough knowledge.
Who is he with? A team of sub optimal performers who don’t learn anything new just like him.
What are they doing together? passing the buck and feeling frustrated.
Is the environment supportive of what they’re doing? Yes it is . It’s a disorganised environment.
The moment he reads this he will understand why he can’t concentrate.
No amount of yoga or anything can help him till he fixes the frame.
When he corrects it the frame look like this.
Who am I? Startup founder who has to learn a lot about hiring the right people and setting the right frame.
Who am I with? Nobody of worth right now but looking for people who will add value.
What are we doing together? Learning to make ridiculous profits nothing less will be tolerated.
Is the environment supportive ? Not yet, but I need to get organised and know what we lack and what we have.
Now I wouldn't have to teach him to concentrate because he can already concentrate. He can already see what's wrong and he will automatically concentrate on fixing it.
Stop concentrating, it's only for people who are fighting distractions that have crept in due to the wrong frame.

THE QUESTION THAT CAN MAKE ANYONE RICH.
Robert Kiyosaki was the first to explain to the world what is the difference between an asset and a liability.
An asset puts money into your pocket.
A liability takes away money from your pocket.
So simple and elegant. But most people don't understand it yet. They think their house is an asset for example, while it takes money away from their pocket in yearly taxes and maintainence repairs. But the same house could be an asset if you rented it and it made more money that you spent on it.
Your car is not an asset unless you're using it as a cab and you have a driver. And you make enough rides to make a profit.
To know if somethimg is an asset, see if it puts money into your pocket.
A job is not an asset. When you earn money with your brain or body, you're trading your time, health, freedom and happiness for money.
Opportunity cost is the monetary value of the money you could have made if you had the time, happiness, freedom and health that you lost doing the job. That's usually very huge, much bigger than what you earn at the job. But most people don't believe it.
Your brain and body may put money into your pocket but it's not an asset because you can't sell it or buy it.
Now that you know what an asset is, I'm going to reveal the question that can make anyone rich.
"What asset can I buy that will 10X my income?"
Not what can I DO to 10x my income but what can I BUY to 10x my income.
This is the question that made me rich. Asking this on the last day of the month has become a ritual for me for several years now. Some months I get very good answers, some months I can barely increase my income. But it doesn't matter because my income increases continuously.
Of course I can't discuss the details publicly as it would violate the privacy of the asset sellers. But you can start asking this question. Keep a portion of your income aside for buying the asset once you have a good answer. If you do this for several years there's no way you won't be rich.
Poor people sell their time, health, energy, freedom, happiness and skill for money. Rich people buy assets.
It's really that simple. Start by identifying assets. The rest is easy.
WHAT IS BHAKTI?
In the Shiv Puran, Mata Sati asks Shivji, "What is Bhakti?"
Shivji replies that Bhakti is of two types.
1. Sagun Bhakti which is awakened by the desire for something.
This bhakti is inferior and should be avoided as it's temporary and unsustainable. However most people only have this form of Bhakti due to severe lack of knowledge in current times. Instead of this pitiful bhakti, read about the second type of bhakti below and master it to be happy.
2. Nirgun Bhakti which is awakened by the study of Shastra and purity of heart.
Nirgun Bhaktyanga
Nirgun bhakti manifests in 9 clear ways but remember you must read the puranas to awaken it.
Many have asked me how to have guru bhakti towards me, the answer is the same, watch my videos on youtube sincerely, with purity of heart.
Here are the 9 manifestations of bhakti which are called Navabhaktyanga.
1. Shravan - listening to or reading of stories of the deity with concentration daily.
2. Kirtan - which means singing songs of the deity's name with love, daily.
3. Smaran - seeing the deity in everything and thinking of them always.
4. Sevan - from sunrise to sunset, considering every act as an act of service to the deity with your heart and senses. Even if you're fighting a war.
5. Dasya - thinking of yourself as a servant of the deity and serving them with the amrut or nectar of immortality that accumulates in your heart as a result of dasya.
6. Archan - Doing the 16 upachar puja according to your wealth. If you read any puran sincerely you will learn about the 16 upacharas from the stories itself.
7. Vandan - chanting the mantra of the deity in your mind and aloud as a meditation and bowing to their visualised form
8. Sakhya - accepting all events as decisions of the deity and finding it auspicious no matter what.
9. Atmasamarpan - considering every material thing you have as the deity's property and surrendering it to them. If it all goes away no problem, you were just a custodian.
Those who manifest bhakti in these 9 ways will enjoy
1. Bhog - pleasure
2. Moksh - liberation from wanting
3. Jnan - pure senses and pure maryada or frames with everyone
4. Vairagya - no attachments that lead to suffering
5. Abhishta - fulfillment of even the smallest request to the deity
The deity is in the service of the nirgun bhakt and protects them ferociously from
1. Paap - sin
2. Shaap - courses
3. Dosh - unfavourable astrological timing
4. Karm - negative consequences of their actions
Practice bhakti now that you know how. There is nothing else to do here on earth at the moment.
THE CURRENCY THAT CAN BUY ANYTHING
When I had no money I used to think of my attention as currency.
I still do.
It’s the only real currency.
You have to protect your attention like you protect your money.
Nobody’s getting my attention without a double verification.
You see your attention is magic whenever you put it, it increases the perceived impact of that thing and that thing now feels mobilised and activated to spread its nature to everything .
Let me explain:
If you give your attention to your illness it increases it’s perceived destructive potential. This will make you panic enough to destroy it before it spreads and ruins other aspects of your life like your work and relationships .
But if you ignore your illness it’s perceived impact remains negligible and you won’t realise how you are slowly losing control over your body till it’s too late.
If you pay attention to your dwindling bank account it increases the perceived impact of being poor and you’re more likely to go learn skills of making money.
If you pay attention to incompatibility in your relationship it increases the perceived destructive impact of it and you’re more likely to learn how to set a common frame in it to be compatible.
Those who practice blind gratitude for the things they have increase the perceived benefit of those things and are more likely to ignore the red flags in their lives.
There’s no profit in avoiding bad feelings they’re there to make us move our butt. Celebration is a good relief but make it for a day only. After that protect your attention from gloating on your achievements.
Life is a marathon and it’s isn’t over till it’s over. Pay attention to every threat.
Contrary to popular teaching this actually increases your happiness as you’ll be well prepared.
Many people indulge in paying attention to their achievements and increase its perceived impact that’s when they develop entitlement to success and stop achieving.
In yoga we embrace obstacles and aren’t very interested in laurels.
Don’t take my word for it. Try it and watch your life improve.
IS YOUR FEAR A LIE? CHECK NOW.
The root of fear is not being able to judge what is dangerous and what is not.
That needs sensitivity empathy and intuition.
The key to dealing with danger is presence.
Be present in the sensations coming to you from outside.
Not sensations you create inside from a lie of how dangerous it is. Make sure you know the difference.
In danger it's not safe to have excess safety.
The safest place is called high security prison.
Nobody can attack you.
But you also can't go out
From this solitary confinement cell
Excess safety leads to the imprisonment of action.
Presence leads to the right amount of safety and and zero analysis paralysis.
There's no technique or kriya for this other than awareness. Seeking one is futile.
Just don't elevate your inner lies
Lies like "I will fail"
How do you know?
Do you have any proof?
Why are you believing your inner lies?
Why are you giving it the authority to overprotect you?
It's not an expert. It is not all knowing.
The first thing you must do is catch yourself whenever you doubt yourself. And then question it. And then say go. As you throw the thought behind you. Burn it in a flame if you have to.
When you see gas in the mirror try not to say "the mirror is gas"
This makes you lose
1. Your mind
2. Your energy
3. Your happiness
4. Your time
5. Your money
And finally
6. Your life
If you jog your memory you will find a few where you concluded unfairly that "people cannot be trusted" or some such inner garbage. That has made you a prisoner in your own overprotection.
Just find it and throw it behind you in a flame with utmost disgust and be free now. Those that can be truested can be trusted. Those that can't be trusted can't be trusted. Your senses should tell you the difference. Sense reality not mythology.
Remember faith is a real sensation. Not a fantasy.

This painting shows how Ramji and Sitaji are really in Hanuman's heart. He didn't imagine them there.
WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF WORRY, STRESS, ANXIETY AND EMOTIONAL IMBALANCE?
We have authority only on our actions never on the fruits.
Do the actions of taking care of your life. Don't try to control the results - that isn't within your authority. Results are Krishna's authority.
When you try to control the result of your actions you are trying to do Krishna's work.
It is overstepping your authority.
The punishment for overstepping your authority is feeling worry, anxiety and stress and being emotionally imbalanced.
I didn't even write this.
It is written clearly in Bhagavad Gita.
WHY ARE YOU SLOW?
Isn’t it wrong to decide quickly? Musn’t one weight all the benefits and disadvantages of a particular decision, search for threats and only then announce the decision?
No. It’s a waste of time.
You want to do all that because you have gotten cheated or hurt in the past.
You have gotten punished or hurt in the past when the decision went wrong, and you’ve gotten punished or hurt when you changed your decisions.
So you want to avoid that pain and in avoiding that pain, you’ve become so slow.
Now you can’t learn fast and you’re stuck in analysis paralysis. And when life needs you to make quick decisions, you fail miserably.
But don't worry you can fix it.
Quick decisions are the essence of speed of course.
It’s like a muscle, the more you work it, the stronger it gets. Start saying yes to more things and no to more things, just don’t be in between. The quicker you get to yes or no the faster your speed at anything.
‘Maybe’ is the big brake lever of life.
Nature does not do maybes, have you noticed?
The seasons come decisively, the sun does no maybes to rise or set, the trees do not hesitate to bloom or to shed. They just seem to know whether it was yes or no. Dogs don’t think if their barks would offend people, they just bark. Birds don’t say 'maybe' to the decision of which branch to nest on. All around us nature is robustly decisive.
What is so terrible about deciding quickly, or changing your mind quickly?
Why fear that other people will reject you, instead, why not face the fact that you have not been of enough value in their life?
Then make decisions that help you develop yourself into a valuable person.
Nobody will have a problem with this.
You have to ask only one question and find only one answer to decide quickly.
“How will this decision lead to making me more valuable to others?”
What if the answer is that it won’t help you be more valuable to others but it will make you happy?
Well, how can you be happy not being of value to others, other people are the only source of joy for a human being.
You can get 'high' all by yourself, all you need is a pleasurable sensory stimulus or substance, but happiness comes only from other people’s love and acceptance. Don't confuse getting high with being happy.
And what about self-love doesn't that make you happy?
No. All self-love can do is make you stop beating yourself up, it stops self-abuse. That gives relief from self-abuse, but not happiness. Relief is not the same as happiness.
Maybe you have never associated decisions with happiness before. But it’s every human being's duty to make decisions that make him or her happy.
In some decisions, like what kind of coffee to have, there is not much value you can add to others so the question ‘how will this decision lead to making me more valuable to others?’ is irrelevant and any decision you take won’t increase or decrease your happiness. So should you have a mocha or a latte? If the mocha can give you more pleasure because of the chocolate or something, it’s totally ok to choose pleasure here.
But when you ask should you have a beer or not, be sure this pleasure will harm your liver and make you do stupid embarrassing things after the 6th beer, so you are reducing your value to others, so the answer should always be ‘no’ to a beer.
The full decision tree is in the diagram

AVADHOOT METHOD OF CLEANING THE MIND
How to clean your mind daily in a few seconds
Step 1: Recall the instances that you found unpleasant in any way during the day
Step 2: Tell the mind to run place these memories inside an imaginary ball that's half black and half white spin it rapidly for 5 seconds and then play loud grinding sounds inside the ball
Step 3: visualise the ball being thrown into a blazing blue flame
Step 4: Tell your mind to send all the associated memories and learnings as balls into the flame and wait for all of them to go
Step 5: Note the physical release in your body.
If more unpleasant memories come you can clean them too just folllow steps 1 to 5. It doesn't matter how old they are.
Repeat these steps at the same time daily and you'll have a clean mind everyday.
MARYADA CONTROLS THE MIND
Maryada is the only way to control the mind. Functional frames are called Maryada. Following maryada in every relationship ensures proper and profitable use of the mind and also assures no emotional disorders or breakdowns.
Dysfunctional frames are called apamaryada.
How to know if you are following maryada or not?
Think about any relationship, note down the first thought you have and then ask the following questions
1. Who does this thought make me?
2. Who does this thought make them?
3. What win-win is possible with this thought
4. What environment is created with this thought?
For example if a wife gets this as the first thought about her husband.
"He's not romantic. He's so boring."
1. Who this makes her- The thought makes her someone superior to him who knows about finer things like romance and surprise.
2. Who this makes him - A dull inferior person who just can't satisfy his wife
3. What win-win is possible? There's no victory for him, he'll be judged constantly and he'll have a bad sex life . He might even turn alcoholic to avoid pain. No win for her either she will become his self-appointed coach and try to "change him" the only win is that neither of their parents will pester them to get married because that's done and dusted.
4. An environment of husband emotional evaluation and wife survival. No prosperity or joy will reside in this household . Children will grow up thinking this is love. The wife's gym instructor might be flirting with her. The husband might be getting sex from prostitutes who don't judge him.
Do this exercise for every relationship you have and ask yourself if you're happy with the frame. Is it maryada?
If it is then great. If not grow up and fix it. Self acceptance of immaturity is the only way to become mature. What's the use of living a life you don't love?

HOW TO BEHAVE BETTER
I’m tired of people saying change is slow. That 95% of your behaviour is subconscious and that changing your behaviour with your conscious mind is like changing the course of a river with a teaspoon
If you’re fed up of this disempowering frame read on.
My guru Mahavatar Babaji told me that behaviour change is instantaneous but skill takes time.
We must distinguish between skill and behaviour
Behaving better is not a skill. Having discipline is not a skill.
Many people struggle with having a routine and doing the right thing as if it were a skill like playing the guitar
The first step is to know the difference. Ask yourself if what your struggling with is a skill or behaviour.
Is stopping smoking a skill or a behaviour change?
Is not feeling guilty about everything a skill or a behaviour change?
Is not getting angry a skill or a behaviour change?
They’re all behaviour changes and the change is instantaneous.
You can’t “work on” a behaviour change.
Behaviour is just an algorithm which follows from your frame.
Change the frame and the behaviour stops immediately.
The good part is that even disease, lack of money and misunderstandings in relationships are results of extended poor behaviour in these areas
And the cause is a poor frame.
I'll write about frame tomorrow stay tuned.

WHAT IS THE REAL SOCIAL CURRENCY?
Before you expect anything from someone check your reputation with them
A good reputation is people currency and it helps you buy cooperation and heartfelt service from others
But how can you become aware of your reputation?
It’s simply how people respond to you
Have a tall glass of honesty and do this.
1. Make a list of all the memories you have with this person you want to expect something from
2. After drinking that tall glass of honesty note how you behaved with them in those situations
And that’s it your conscience can help you evaluate what you can really expect from that person
Be free of false expectations and never be disappointed again
Lots of people lie to themselves about their reputation. Don't do that, be honest. If you find that your social reputation is not good, you have to take it seriously and fix it by developing skills and behaving better.
Be strong, be skilled, be useful and be a pleasure to interact with otherwise you might die of heartbreak soon.

WHY WE DONT GET STARTED
There’s a lot of irresponsible teaching about doing what we love and following our passion. However, if we did that, it would be utterly unscalable.
Think about it, when we love something we spend so much time on it like an artist on her painting or a musician on his guitar. How on earth is that scalable?
Building a sustainable and scalable result needs us to NOT love or be passionate about what we do.
Then we can readily do unpleasant and difficult things and allow others to help us. The key in scalability and sustainability is to allow others to help us.
Then guess what happens? You get time to do the things you love and are passionate about like art and music that can't be scaled.
The pattern of swallowing the irresponsible teachings is that we wait for everything to be perfect before we start and so never get started
Now don't make a big sexy project of following your passion and then understanding your procrastination, just use the mantra
“muh bandh kaam chalu” - which means shut up and do it
