My wife and I were talking last night about groceries.
I went back into my Walmart app and pulled up an order from January 2020.
30 items. $70.20.
I added every single one back to the cart today.
$165.42.
Same 30 items. Same store. Same cart.
$95 more, In six years.
They told us inflation was temporary. They told us it was under control. They told us the economy was recovering.
My grocery bill didn’t get the memo.
135% increase in six years and nobody in Washington has missed a single meal.
Funny how a 4 day work week gets treated like some impossible fantasy, yet long holiday weekends never seem to break the economy. It’s almost like every weekend should just…be a long weekend?
@EricLDaugh This is great news! It’s depressing in the winter when the time changes. Never mind the havoc it causes to your body. Who is letting their kids walk to school anyway in 2026? Let’s goooooo
My gf said something to me a while ago that I really thought about.
"I wonder what homeless numbers would look like if we counted people who had to move in with family cause they couldn't afford a place in their own."
I only do the required rabies vaccination. After the first year, I stopped all others.
Having raised dachshunds since I was 8, I noticed that dogs vaccinated yearly often developed spinal issues and died young. My longest-lived dachshund reached 14 years in the 90s, before frequent vaccinations became standard. Paralysis at young ages never seemed normal for the breed.
I now have four dachshunds. All initially vaccinated as puppies. The older two are 8 years old, the younger two are 1.5, and all are doing great.
This is my opinion only. Not medical advice or telling you what to do with your dogs.
Steak ‘N Shake Chief MAHA Officer says the chain will switch to grass fed, grass finished beef nationwide starting June 1.
“We are bringing fast food to what it was years ago… Real Ingredients, Real Food that everyone can trust and pronounce.”
“We’re going seed oil free and looking at any and all opportunities to remove seed oils.”
“One big move that we will be making come June 1st, we’ll be rolling out grass-fed, grass-finished beef to all locations nationwide.”
“We tested in local markets and what we expected proved to be true.”
“Customers loved it.”
.@AldiUSA is eliminating 44 additional ingredients from its private-label products—including select artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners—expanding its restricted ingredient list from 13 to 57. Other companies should follow their lead.
Starting June 1, all our Steakburgers will be made with 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef.

Rep Tim Burchett again CONFIRMS high gas prices have nothing to do with the Iran War. Big Oil is taking advantage of the situation and price gouging us
“Gas prices are awful. We're being gouged by the gas companies. We get zero gas oil, excuse me, from Iran, and we're actually exporting it”
“The oil companies get billions of dollars in subsidies and it's not right. They're ripping us off”
Anyone else stuck in this weird cycle where work is so exhausting that your hobbies feel like too much work, so you don’t do them, and then you go back to work upset that you didn’t take time to do the things you enjoy?
Is it me or are corporate professionals really walking away from “stable” income to take jobs in retail and coffee shops in order to gain some level of normalcy and regulate their nervous systems again?!
