This is justice in a blue state (New York).
State Trooper Christopher Baldner pulls over a family SUV for speeding on the Thruway.
Driver Tristin Goods refuses to show ID and escalates the stop. Trooper uses pepper spray.
Driver floors it and flees at high speed.
Trooper follows training and uses pit maneuver to ram the vehicle and stop the threat.
The SUV crashes. Goods’ own 11-year-old daughter Monica is tragically killed.
Result?
Trooper Baldner was just sentenced to ~7 years in prison for manslaughter.
The father - who caused the deadly chase - walks free after claiming he was “scared for his life.”
Something notable is that Alaska Dems recruited an historic number of candidates across the state.
We recruited in all but *1* Leg seat in the Mat-Su -- a rapidly growing borough that gave Trump a +48% margin.
6 of these districts have never seen a Dem run before... until now.
The Ukraine Support Act (H.R. 2913) passed the House June 4 by 226-95, with 18 Republicans joining Democrats. It authorizes >$1B in security assistance, $8B in military financing loans for Ukraine, extends USAI authorities to 2027, adds Russia sanctions, and creates a reconstruction fund.
It now goes to the Senate. If the Senate passes it, the bill heads to the President for signature. Senate prospects are uncertain.
@jsolomonReports Isn’t that nice? They’ll fund Ukraine to defend themselves but won’t fund Homeland security to defend Americans….and the money they fund Ukraine with is our dang money! It’s weird how that works!
‼️18 House Republicans voted with democrats to continue sending American taxpayer dollars to Ukraine. And that’s after learning that the Biden administration was sending Ukraine money back to their friends.
Please take a moment and read this story below.
The one entity not mentioned in the whole article is Calista Corporation, a private Alaska Native Regional Corporation (ANC).
Revenue: Strong growth in recent years. It reached $733 million in 2020 and hit a record $1.1 billion in 2024.
Everybody is scrambling to fix infrastructure for a $1 billion corporation.
The federal government pays 75%, the state pays 25%. What does the Native corporation pay, or are taxpayers expected to foot the whole bill for a $1 billion corporation? And how many generations are chained to this tax burden?
It’s been 250 years, and we are still acting like everyone in America doesn’t have European DNA. We are all mutts 🤣 even the natives have European DNA.

@ChuckGrassley But you allowed three votes against it. All these years and you can’t keep the senate together? Is that all this was? A show so you can run back and tell your constituents you voted for the save America act?
🚨 BREAKING: The US Senate has just REJECTED the SAVE America Act as part of budget reconciliation, 48-50 — would've required voter ID and proof of citizenship nationwide
REPUBLICAN NAYs: Thom Tillis, Lisa Murkowski, Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins
UNBELIEVABLE!!
It needed 60 votes.
Why can't the Senate pass what over 80% of Americans want?!
Idaho has 981 separate taxing districts. Every one of them has a claim on someone's home.
The average Bonner County homeowner pays roughly $2,400 a year in property taxes. For the privilege of living in a house they already own.
981 government entities should not have the power to take your house.
