This is what it would have looked like had the Knicks closed it out in the Garden. There is not enough security in the world that would have kept the rabid Knick fans from storming the court after the final whistle.
For years, every big free agent or disgruntled star, it was always said that
"imagine if he came here and won a ring in NYC, he would be a god!" and every single time the Knicks were used as leverage or left at the altar.
It is no longer a hypothetical. It has been written. Jalen Marquise Brunson has done it. His named etched in the annals of not just Knicks history, but, New York City history.
Eternally crowned as the KING OF NEW York.
BUILD THE FUCKING STATUE.
We out here at 34th Street Penn Station standing with the Long Island Railroad workers because what happens to them TODAY will trickle down to New York City Transit TOMORROW.
Kathy Hochul and Janet Lippa keep doubling down instead of giving these workers a FAIR contract… so we gonna triple down and stand 10 toes down with labor ✊🏽🚆
Funny how workers are “essential” when they need the system running… but suddenly asking for fairness is a problem.
Nah.
We not letting them divide railroad workers, transit workers, bus workers, conductors, train operators, maintenance workers or ANY working-class people during this fight.
That’s exactly how management wins.
By separating us.
The MTA got money for consultants, overtime, studies, outside contracts, billion-dollar projects and PR campaigns… but when workers demand respect, suddenly everybody starts talking about “costs.” 🤔
We ain’t going nowhere.
Union strong.
Worker strong.
10 toes down.
Solidarity matters now more than ever. 🔥
