We've created 8 new franchises to compete against the counties - we'll take your grounds, your best players and a prime spot in the calendar.
It's not for you, there are new fans who take priority.
Now get behind it.
#TheHundred
@CricketAleTrain@MattersCounty @lancscccaction @KP_Franchise Promotion and relegation very important
T20 makes more sense than the newer format but that was never the biggest problem
"Richard Gould wants to replace The Hundred with a new 39-team T20 tournament involving the grounds of all the first-class and National Counties" | @huwzat

@adelemitch You have a fair point.
Much as I loathe the Hundred, let’s preserve and build on the progress made in the women’s game, even if it could have been achieve differently.
@GuyHornsby@78DarknessTour@BBCSport There’s no hiding it doesn’t get the crowds the Blast does but please don’t fall into the one man & a dog myth.
Attendances are hampered by it being inspring and autumn so difficult for those at work and school and, as you say, the streams are popular because there’s interest.
@SomersetGrockle @OwenJervis1 @NotTheHundred@ECB_cricket To use a cheesy phrase, when the ECB created the Hundred, division was a feature not a bug.
Telling existing fans 'it's not for you' and only playing in 8 of the 18 grounds. Division is baked in.
@GuyHornsby@78DarknessTour@BBCSport The county championship is vital for the test team which pays the bills, it’s a cross subsidy.
The large majority of the tv deal is international cricket, the Hundred was £40m a year or 18% so from that point of view the red ball game more than pulls its weight.
@Owen80645564 @ReubenHerbert1@thehundred I’m all for growing the game but I disagree with the franchise method as it harms counties.
In a sentence build on what we have rather than relegate and undermine.
Politics….
The Twitter account @thehundred has 92k followers.
The lowest follower counts for a FC county is Leics at 75k and Derbyshire at 78k
After three seasons of vast marketing, and certain people maintain it’s a phenomenal success, wouldn’t you expect more?
@GuyHornsby@BBCSport Good spot, I’m not neutral on this!
We had a reasonably harmonious game until the creation of this, it’s horrible what’s being done to the County game in its three formats.
@ReubenHerbert1 @Owen80645564 @thehundred Among the endless disagreements I thought it interesting to compare social media numbers as they’re a visible measure of engagement and interest.
@KentWomble@slimmatt1@simonhancock_uk@thehundred In fairness I don’t think there’s an official OI Facebook but there is one on instagram.
It has 33k followers to Surrey’s 180k
I know it’s bitter of me to mention it.
@slimmatt1@simonhancock_uk@thehundred I found it interesting to compare social media numbers as it’s an easily visible measure of engagement.
You seem rather cross that they don’t support your narrative, if anyone’s bitter and miserable, it’s not me.
All good.
