DOGE made “possible a massive power grab, and that's the real story.”
That’s what author Michael Lewis told me in the second part of our conversation about his book “Blockers: Rebels in the Deep State.”
From @WSJopinion: South Carolina could go blue. Democrat Annie Andrews is showing up. Darline Graham is nowhere to be found, writes Barton Swaim.

17 current and former FBI and DOJ officials, intelligence officials and others familiar with the situation told me they were deeply worried by a variety of decisions that suggest ever-closer ties between the Trump administration and Putin’s regime. @TheAtlantic
"On Wednesday, ABC News published a report on the massive federal contracts worth more than $6 billion that have been awarded to companies backed by the Trump brothers. A day later, it was gone... Media consolidation has handed most of the big networks to billionaires who are either Trump allies or have business before his administration, and usually both. Case in point of the week: the Paramount/Warner Brothers merger win for Trump-buddy David Ellison. But this ABC debacle proves that you don’t even need a friendly owner. You just need a company with business before the administration, broadcast licenses to hold onto, and regulators to please. That’s all it takes."

The government *still* isn’t tracking how often immigration agents detain U.S. citizens.
We are.
500+ Americans have been handcuffed, held at gunpoint or held against their will in Trump’s second term.
Our tally is almost certainly an undercount.

The evacuation of all 12 B-1 Lancer bombers from RAF Fairford was driven by fears of a plot against the base, according to NYT.
U.S. officials believe a branch of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps recruited UK nationals to attack the bombers and kill personnel.
The plan reportedly involved creating a diversion to draw authorities away, which would have opened the way for an attack on the base.
Police foiled it last week. Some British officials have questioned how sophisticated the plot really was.
Fairford had served as the main launch point for U.S. bomber strikes on Iran.

The State Department says it is “aware of reports of a fatal case of suspected pneumonic plague” in Russia and “monitoring the situation closely” along with the CDC + other agencies.
“Many details have not been confirmed. We encourage Russian authorities to share accurate information quickly and openly,” a State spox said.
