@WillGFootman@Soob@Tyler_A_Harper That's like a survival need tho, a video game is something you do for fun and to feel a challenge. It's art. I have much less of a problem with a robot building a house than making a video game.
@_RogerSmith2004@K0n991 When I lived in Japan I just bought a used android for like $60 bucks at Book Off and ordered an eSIM online that they mailed to me, just had to have an address.
@LifelikeMovie58@taitan2121 That's a good example because in Japan you can get a copy of any of those games for like 10-20 bucks, they probably don't realize it costs well over 100 dollars for english copies. Plus the consoles being more expensive too.
@ruthiruth_ruth Damn that did not look like Ikki to me lol, I guess I see it now? I gotta reread that shit, it's one of my fav manga but I haven't read it since high school
@shakunetsu_bon@Stuhlinger96@LazarusCrystalz@SHIRO_116 Also "The obvious subtext" lol
I'm not even anti-woke or anything, but c'mon you gotta admit sometimes LGBT animanga fans will take their gay ships a little too seriously. Not everyone male friendship is supposed to be yaoi, get your mind out of the gutter.
@GHE1ST@PlasmaWave42@MinistryofOtaku A lot of Japanese series (such as Zelda and Final Fantasy) are more about being different "iterations" of the series, rather than a sequel. Most Final Fantasy games have no connection to each other and can be played with no prior knowledge, same for Zelda.
@GHE1ST@PlasmaWave42@MinistryofOtaku That's fair, there are shorter manga that have more concise stories but many of the most popular can be quite long. Idk about "Japanese media" in general though, lots of single movies or seasons of anime are quite popular and tell great stories.
