I’m honored to be the winner of #ASCP2021 research abstract in Education Practice category ☺️ THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Dr. Borkowski @tampapath and team for all your support and guidance! ☺️ https://t.co/ubQXhph5Gy @USFpathology @ChampeauxMD @EHJPathDiva@NRiddleMD
Very sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Richard Scolyer. He was a renowned pathologist with extensive melanoma expertise. Our thoughts are with his family, colleagues and the dermatopathology community at large. Rest in peace🕊️

Pathology is foundational to precision oncology. Bridging the gap between cutting-edge targeted therapies & real-world biomarker testing is vital. Proud that my state pathology society is leading the way in education & collaboration. @FLPathologists
From the booth at #ASCO26, I spoke with Dr. Marilyn Bui of @Moffittnews, about her work in pathology, biomarker testing and AI.
Her expertise in digital pathology and augmented intelligence is helping support more precise cancer diagnosis and treatment planning for patients.

🚨New results presented at #ASCO26 from the NHS-Galleri trial suggest multicancer early detection blood testing increased screen-detected cancers while reducing stage IV diagnoses and emergency cancer presentations.
Moffitt’s Marilyn Bui, MD (@DrBuiPathology), discusses the research from @TheCrick and Charles Swanton, PhD, highlighting its potential role in advancing earlier cancer detection. #MoffittASCO26
It is essential to know the patient's history.
A 60-year-old female presents with a right breast mass.
The diagnosis is metastatic melanoma, which can be misdiagnosed as triple-negative breast cancer. Always review the patient's history and verify the primary origin, especially if this is the first-time diagnosis.
Please note the E-cadherin immunostaining pattern as well. It can be confusing.
Congrats to colleague Dr. Terry Boyle on receiving @MoffittNews 2026 Unsung Hero Award. This honors her yrs of exceptional dedication & behind-the-scenes leadership in translational research & clinical molecular diagnostics at Moffitt. Her work has been key to improving pt care & our mission. Key achievements:
- Pioneered innovative clinical molecular diagnostic assays, expanding testing capabilities.
- Instrumental in establishing & maintaining the Rapid Tissue Donation Program, a vital resource for pathology & translational research.
- Provided consistent support for tumor boards w/ high-quality molecular interpretation.
- Led research on RNA/protein expression in lung cancer & other tumors.
- Always available (often on short notice) for complex mutation interp & lab questions.
Dr. Boyle’s quiet dedication, scientific rigor, & support for colleagues truly define “unsung hero.” Well-deserved recognition for her impact on dept, institution, & pts.
Congrats again!

AI can now diagnose some medial cases in seconds.
That’s incredible.
But if the computer always has the answer… how will young doctors learn to think? And will experienced docs quickly de-skill?
This may be one of the biggest questions in medicine right now. Some thoughts👇🏻
