I'm so honored to receive the Dermatopathology Trainee World Cup 1st place for my presentation on cysts mimicking malignancies with Drs. Foulis and Gibbs! Had a great time, learned a lot, and met many amazing people @IntSocDermpath#ISDP2023#PathTwitter#dermpath#dermtwitter
Congratulations to Jonathan Zager, MD, on receiving an honorary doctorate from the University of Gothenburg’s Sahlgrenska Academy.
This recognition honors his contributions to melanoma research, regional cancer treatment, perfusion-based therapies and his longstanding collaboration with researchers at the University of Gothenburg, where a ceremony will be held this fall.
“Receiving this honorary PhD is a deeply humbling and meaningful honor,” said Dr. @jzager99. “I am extremely grateful to be recognized by such a distinguished institution and look forward to continued collaboration with Dr. @OlofssonBagge and his team (@goteborgsuni@SahlgrenskaAcad).”
#FollowFriday Dr. Ghulam Rasool’s work in machine learning advances data-driven cancer research @MoffittNews and beyond. His lab develops deep and machine learning models to help answer clinically relevant questions and optimize treatment decisions for personalized #cancer care. Go give him a follow @Gxrasool!
From #MoffittScientificSymposium, Aakash Tripathi, PhD, discusses a pan-cancer framework for multimodal data fusion in cancer classification and survival prediction. Findings showed pretrained foundation-model embeddings outperformed unimodal and de novo multimodal approaches, supporting scalable oncology modeling through the OncoFabric framework.

Not the best day ever..... Today I had another scan of my brain followed by further discussions with the neuro-oncology team who continue their wonderful care. There seems to be further progression of my brain tumour (glioblastoma) affecting brain functioning (as me and a few close friends can feel/see). Whilst it is a bit disappointing, in the big picture it's not the end of the road and I’ve got more to do! I love and enjoy challenges. I certainly haven't stopped yet. Hopefully I can share more special times with family and friends, and continue to advocate for cancer patients.

Our #dermpath society is very small, and therefore the audience is limited, but it appears our study has been cited enough to be selected as one of the top 10 most-cited papers by JCP in 2024! 😆🔬
