@DoctorLFC But he’s right you know for a change, plus he’s speaking as to what would hv happened to a Mumbai cricketer if he had done something like this in a Ranji game
Disappointing to watch. Youthful rush of blood may explain the emotion, but it cannot excuse the behaviour. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has the talent to conquer the cricketing world; now he must learn an equally important lesson: no player is bigger than the game. https://t.co/Gbl15venKk
@aparanjape@ClimateImd@Hosalikar_KS@vineet_mausam Pune is exactly following the way Mumbai has gone. Huge population growth, quickly becoming a concrete jungle, unplanned development & growth & terrible traffic. This was bound to happen
@MandarSawant184@ParthKul I am planning to take the old route while coming back to Mumbai, I am hoping that the stretch between Lanje and Sangameshwar is done or at least the road conditions r better. Last time it was horrible
You have done exceedingly & exceptionally well on getting modern transport to Mumbai. You will also need to look at the traffic discipline for the city if you need this magnificent Infra to work well
From Coastline to Connectivity, Shaping Mumbai’s Landscape
Inspected the ongoing work of the 'Mumbai Coastal Road Project North' today, reshaping a faster, greener and better-connected city.
Designed to provide seamless connectivity from Nariman Point and Marine Drive to the western suburbs, Bhayandar, Thane, and beyond, this landmark project aims to reduce traffic congestion, travel time, and pollution. This corridor will also be extended up to Virar and the Vadhavan Port, Palghar in the future. Travel time from Versova to Dahisar is expected to reduce from 120–140 minutes to just 15–20 minutes. Additionally, an elevated connector from the coastal road to the upcoming Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR) will further strengthen Mumbai's transport network.
The Mumbai Coastal Road North (MCRN) Extension from Versova to Bhayandar features innovative engineering elements, including double elevated roads, roads on stilts in mangrove areas, 2 cable-stayed bridges, 4 basket-type bridges, twin underground tunnels, and 10 interchanges.
Spread across seven packages A, B, C, D, E, F, and DBLR, the project covers 26.32 km of main road and 32.94 km of interchanges, connectors, and ramps. The project is expected to create employment opportunities, lower vehicle operating costs, and support regional growth, with an Economic Rate of Return (ERR) of 11%.
Sustainability is central to the project, with a strong focus on carbon neutrality, while the CM War Room closely monitors progress to keep the project on schedule. The project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by nearly 48%, contributing significantly to a cleaner urban environment. Mangrove conservation remains a priority, with the Maharashtra Government actively expanding and protecting mangrove cover through plantations and dedicated parks.
'Mumbai Coastal Road Project North' is redefining the urban landscape with smoother connectivity, sustainability, and future-ready Mumbai.
