The NIH plans to defund the WHI, the largest clinical trial ever for women that was meant to catch up on missed research. This study has been a fountain of knowledge. The hatred of women from this administration is really from cradle to grave. https://t.co/GED2ZR19CF

Our NIH grant to discover coronavirus antiviral meds was terminated today.
With this grant, we had developed a better SARSCoV2 inhibitor than Paxlovid, and we recently discovered an improved drug that looks better than Pfizer's own second-generation inhibitor.
This decision — and other federal efforts to undermine well-established science about vaccine safety — puts everyone at risk, says IDSA President Tina Tan, MD, FIDSA, FPIDS, FAAP.

Intelligence officials are starting to leak to me now too. Here’s a memo Defense Intelligence Agency personnel received instructing them to suspend observances including:

Don’t buy this for a minute.
The MD shortage is manufactured by Congress. It exists because of corruption.
The number of residency training spots is capped by Congress under the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. While medical schools have increased enrollment to address physician shortages, the number of residency slots—required for graduates to become licensed physicians—has not grown proportionally due to a lack of federal funding for graduate medical education via Medicare.
This bottleneck disproportionately affects underserved areas, including inner cities and rural communities, where physician shortages are the worst.
Let’s talk about it 🧵
🚨Apparently all NIH Study Sections have been suspended indefinitely.
For those who don’t know, this means there won’t be any review of grants submitted to NIH
Depending on how long this goes on for, this could lead to an interruption in billions in research funding.
