Here is the definition of “Designated Student Athlete” that was redlined into the House settlement agreement. For current athletes, you must have been on the 2024-2025 roster to qualify. For incoming 2025 recruits, it looks like you need to enroll at the school for the school to designate you. Not sure what will happen if you had your offer revoked and chose not to enroll at the school, which I suspect happened a lot. All this language was hastily added into the settlement and not completely thought through.
