There is no world in which this is okay.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito did not recuse himself from cases involving Trump’s Treasury Department while his own son was secretly working there as a political appointee and attorney.
His son's employment was hidden so thoroughly that his name appears nowhere on the Treasury Department website, he has no public resume, and his bar listings are outdated.
If Alito had recused himself, the secret would have come out. He didn’t recuse himself.
This is a clear conflict of interest, and the American people deserved to know about it.
The federal recusal standard is clear: a justice must step aside in any case where there is a reasonable basis to question whether he or she can be impartial. A justice ruling on cases involving the department where his son works fails that test. The Treasury Department sits at the center of some of the biggest legal fights of this administration, and challenges to Trump’s $1.776 billion January 6 slush fund could be headed to the Court next.
The Supreme Court is the only court in America with no binding code of conduct. That is completely unacceptable, and it has to change NOW.
Congress controls the Power of the Purse, and therefore the Court’s funding. If the Court will not adopt a binding code of conduct with real recusal review on their own, I support withholding their funding until they do.

One year ago, a deadly antisemitic firebombing attack in Boulder targeted a peaceful gathering of Jewish community members mourning those murdered and taken hostage by Hamas on October 7th.
Yesterday, the local SJP chapter celebrated the attack– praising the assailant for ‘direct action against genocide’ and describing the victims as ‘perpetrators’ and a ‘manifestation of the Zionist death cult’ that needed to be destroyed.
When violence against Jews is openly celebrated, it is not activism. It is antisemitic incitement.
Martha Stewart went to prison for saving herself $45,673 using an illegal stock tip.
Donald Trump traded stocks 3,700 times between Jan—Mar of this year, totaling between $220–$750 million, and used the presidency to make his stocks go up… And he’s walking around a free man.
NEVER FORGET
The same party that wanted to bring federal assault charges against a man for throwing a sandwich at a federal agent — now want to reward insurrectionist for beating Capitol police officers with deadly objects.
There are more Muslims living in Israel as full-citizens than there are Jews living (as citizens or not) in the 49 Muslim majority countries put together.
This should be the only argument you need to debunk the false claim that Israel is an ethnostate.
In the past week, Donald Trump has threatened nuclear war against Iran, called for the genocide of 93 million Iranians, publicly attacked the Pope, and compared himself to Jesus Christ.
Recall July of 2024 when every pundit and reporter in American media were urging President Biden to step down due to concerns over his cognitive health.
Where are those voices now? Where are the demands for Trump to be removed? Where is the flood of op-eds and cable news panels and social media posts calling for the 25th Amendment to be triggered?
Why are you all so silent on this?
$1.5 BILLION. Let me say it again - a $1.5 BILLION BET.
Bigger than any futures purchases made at the time.
5 minutes before Trump's post.
Who was it? Trump? A family member? A White House staffer?
This is corruption. Mind blowing corruption.
Every Republican senator who tried to block the nomination of a qualified Black woman to serve on SCOTUS, calling her a "DEI hire," voted to confirm a white plumber with an associate degree in construction technology and no national security experience to lead DHS.
If no one else wants to say it, I will:
Stop calling it a TSA crisis.
It’s not broken. It’s being broken on purpose.
Project 2025, page 159.
This is how control gets sold to the public.
You better vote.
It’s crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war. He badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate. The region is on fire.
1/ I’m going to explain to you in this🧵what I’ve learned - in part from closed door briefings - about the four biggest current crises.

We are a secular democracy. If you don't like the freedom of religion, you are welcome to move somewhere else.
In America, you can be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or anything else. It's written into our Constitution. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Get lost with this garbage.
Probably the most definitive proof of right-wing media bias is that “nonpartisan” CBS thinks a mayor’s wife’s Instagram likes are a major story while Republicans in Congress say stuff like this with no pushback:
Just a reminder that the one guy who is single-handedly tanking the global economy by doubling the market price of oil is also the one guy who insisted on increasing US dependence on fossil fuel by canceling arrays of US solar and wind projects that were already under way.
