Just found out that a deal was made! @OTAAUP has successfully won their first contract. We are so incredibly proud of everyone who showed up in support of our faculty. The fight may be over, but students will never forget how Admin and the Board of Trustees acted.

Police unions are terrible. But of course Jimmy boy here would support a police union before he supported a teachers union. Police unions protect corrupt cops and hurt their communities, while teachers unions allow teachers to focus on improving their communities and the country.

Organizing students have been gathering evidence that supports @OTAAUP claim that @OregonTech broke Oregon law (ORS 662.215) by not informing scab adjuncts that they are strikebreakers. Here's that evidence (thread)

.@OregonTech wants us to move on and forget about what they did. They say that it's been "addressed and settled" though it clearly hasn't and isn't. Why were so many scabs saying they weren't told? Admin can easily clear this up by providing the evidence that they were informed.

This is messed up. The coursework teachers create should be their intellectual property. That way stuff like this can't happen without consequences. But right now I guess your employer can steal your work and get away with it.

Though I should add that nothing surprises me at this point, after finding out that two of my scabs were somehow granted access to my course shells from 2019 and 2020 and then posted old videos of mine as if they were new content to keep the classes going during the strike.
