🔴 Hoy, en una audiencia ante la @CIDH sobre la situación de personas privadas de libertad en el marco del Estado de excepción en El Salvador, la organización Cristosal denunció la existencia de “ejecuciones extrajudiciales” durante la vigencia de la medida de seguridad.

La organización ha documentado 454 muertes bajo custodia del Estado; 33 de ellas mujeres, 3 niñas y un niño. “300 del total de víctimas mortales (el 72%) se encontraban en su etapa más productiva, tenían entre 18 y 40 años.111 de estas personas eran agricultores, 47 comerciantes, 42 técnicos, 72 empleados, 24 trabajadores de la construcción y 24 estudiantes”, especificó David Morales, jefe de justicia transicional. 

El Estado salvadoreño estuvo ausente en la audiencia. Entre el 1 junio de 2019 hasta el 10 de marzo de 2026 el Estado faltó a seis audiencias CIDH donde El Salvador era la temática principal. El Estado sí estuvo presente en 13 audiencias. 

Cristosal ha evidenciado signos de violencia en 87 casos. En 31 de estos se verificaron documentos de entidades estatales que establecen traumas o asfixia como causa de la muerte. Al menos 42 cadáveres presentaban signos de desnutrición. Según reportes de la organización, en el 78% de los casos las víctimas no tenían vínculos con pandillas. 🧵⬇️
