In the study we conducted in collaboration with @spaceofhope, results show that economic pressures are the main obstacle to participation in public affairs for a vast majority of Syrian youth, followed by lack of qualifications/abilities of youth, then fear of the authorities.
Livelihood support programs rank first in terms of overall youth interest, while sub-sampling by gender indicates a higher desire among female respondents to work on social issues.
One notable result from the study we conducted in collaboration with @spaceofhope on Syrian #youth and the public sphere is that youth in SDF-controlled areas were the most informed about issues of public affairs, while youth in regime-controlled areas were the least informed.
According to the respondents, participation in humanitarian and civil society organizations was the highest across the five areas of participation, with an average of 15%.
