Really is time cameras' are made compulsory in all care homes and hospitals. I've only been in two and honestly cried after leaving both. Something needs to change! @guardian
On #WorldMentalHealthDay we could pledge that we never let any of our colleagues get away with:
"Why is she here?"
"Because she's a c*nt"
Let's ensure we keep empathy at the core of what we do.

@Keirwales@HoppyPelican@angelamays27@Mental_Elf Prob a silly idea, but set up a steering group with campaigning, awareness raising and communication as the area of focus. Get charities on board. Make lots of noise to tv, radio, use social media; do silly things like tiktok, you tube channel, insta.
Saturday at work; spent half an hour listening to a nurse, qualified 5 years explain to her nursing student about BPD. Words used were 'extremely manipulative ' 'self-harming for attention'. If this is how student nurses are learning, is there any hope for change? @Keirwales
@PeriodsPower@Keirwales It needs challenging from the point of entry into Uni. Then from the top in the work place. It's so engrained into majority of staff members that it's just accepted as being accurate. The ones of us who challenge the opinions are laughed at and told we've been manipulated
