BREAKING: Texas Democrats drop a bombshell on Donald Trump by pushing for an amendment to the state's redistricting maps that would require MAGA Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the Jeffrey Epstein files before the changes can take effect.

This is a brilliant chess move...

“Trump is in those files, and that’s why he’s fighting to keep them hidden,” stated Texas House Minority Leader Gene Wu.

“At the same time he’s demanding Abbott ram through racist maps, he’s making sure Congressional Republicans block the release of files that could expose his decades-long relationship with a child sex trafficker,” Wu added. “This amendment forces Republicans to choose between their loyalty to Trump and their obligation to expose sexual predators.”

The amendment, which is being introduced by Wu, states that the new maps can only be adopted once Bondi "makes publicly available in a searchable and downloadable format all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials in the possession of the Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and United States Attorneys’ Offices, that relate to Jeffrey Epstein."

Republicans are planning to ram through a vote to add five new Republican-leaning districts, a move that would dilute the votes of Black and Latino voters and give Trump a better chance of holding the U.S. House in the midterm elections. Trump himself requested the electoral assistance.

While Republicans will almost certainly vote down the amendment, even that would be a victory for Democrats because it would once again force the Republicans to admit that they're covering up the Epstein files.

BREAKING: Tom Cruise, the world's biggest movie star, enrages MAGA world by rejecting a lifetime achievement world from Donald Trump and his fascism-tainted Kennedy Center.

This is a powerful slap in the face to the celebrity obsessed Trump...

According to The Washington Post, Cruise's team stated that the megastar could not attend the award ceremony due to "scheduling conflicts," which is the excuse often provided when a star wants to avoid an event without causing waves.

Trump had been hoping to announce Cruise's name on Wednesday but had to settle for washed up conservative "stars" like Sylvester Stallone and KISS. By rejecting the so-called "honor," Cruise will avoid tying his name to Trump's or giving tacit support to his authoritarian regime.

The president also announced that he will be hosting the televised event himself because apparently he has nothing better to do with wars waging around the war, rising inflation due to his tariffs, and an ever-escalating Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Trump's fixation on fame is well-documented and he deeply resents that Hollywood now despises him.

In fact, Trump even alluded to giving himself an award next year since he has never received one from the Kennedy Center. The award "recognizes and celebrates individuals whose unique artistic contributions have shaped our world," which of course Trump has never done.

"I waited and waited and waited, and I said, ‘The hell with it, I’ll become chairman and I’ll give myself an honor,’" said Trump. "Next year, we’ll honor Trump, okay?”

Trump also said that he was "98 percent involved" in selecting the honorees, so one can safely presume that selecting Cruise was his idea.

Trump's takeover of the Kennedy Center has proven deeply controversial as he has stocked the board with MAGA loyalists. Republicans have even suggested renaming the prestigious Center to the "Trump Center for the Performing arts."

Everything that Trump touches withers and dies and unfortunately the Kennedy Center is proving no exception. Accepting an award from the institution while it's being controlled by a man as tasteless, venial, and cruel as this is a stain on an artist's legacy, not a feather in their cap.
