Copywriters. Resist the urge to sound smart.
Resist the gargantuan words and such like them.
If you must showcase smartness:
Know the product to its core.
Know the audience in-toto.
Then show them, in simple words, how the product changes their lives.
The end.
The page right after someone books a call with you is the most valuable real estate in your entire funnel.
And you're wasting it.
In this post I'll show you exactly how to use it to 2x your show rates and pre-sell leads before they ever talk to your sales team =>
The number of times I've booked a call with someone and all I got was calendly telling me "thanks for booking" is crazy.
And it is more crucial than you think.
Because when a lead books a call with you (especially if you're running ads)...
This is their FIRST impression of you and your business.
The more dialed in and serious and clean your funnel is, the more likely they'll believe you're the one to help them.
But if you put in minimal effort into your entire funnel (even AFTER they book a call)...
You'll deal with high no show rates, high bounce rates, increased CPA, and your sales team struggling to close.
Look...
The moment someone books a call with you is the moment they're MOST bought in.
And when you hit them with no direction or next steps or reasons to engage with you...
Their brain moves on.
And for the next 48 hours...
They forget why they booked.
They talk to their business partner who says "I don't know man, seems risky."
They see your competitor's ad and think "maybe I should check them out too."
By the time your call comes around...
They either don't show up.
Or they show up cold and skeptical again.
So here's how you take care of your prospects AFTER they book a call if the main constraint question your offer is "how does it work?":
Step 1 – Record a 2-3 minute video
Not a "thanks for booking" video.
A video that does three things:
> Flips the frame (makes THEM feel like they're being evaluated)
> Sets expectations for the call
> Gives them a next step
Something like:
"Hey, congrats on booking. But I need to be upfront with you... this isn't a typical sales call. I'm going to ask you some hard questions to figure out if we can actually help. If we can, great. If not, I'll tell you and point you in the right direction. Before our call, I want you to check your email. I'm sending you a short video that explains exactly how our process works and why it's different from everything else you've tried."
Step 2 – The "mechanism explainer" video
This is the video you send to their email right after they book.
10-15 minutes max.
The goal isn't to "provide value."
The goal is to shift ONE belief.
The belief that's keeping them stuck.
For us, that belief is: "I need more leads to scale."
So our video destroys that belief and shows them why what happens AFTER someone books is the real bottleneck.
By the end, they're not thinking "I need more leads."
They're thinking "holy shit... I've been focusing on the wrong thing this whole time."
And now they WANT to get on the call with us to fix it.
Step 3 – Give them "homework"
At the end of your mechanism video, tell them:
"Before our call, I want you to think about X."
Or...
"Before our call, write down Y."
This does two things:
1. It keeps them engaged with YOU instead of your competitors.
2. It makes them feel invested in the process.
People don't flake on things they've invested time into.
This is basic psychology.
But almost nobody uses it.
Most businesses treat the thank you page as an afterthought.
"They booked. My job is done."
No.
Your job just started.
The thank you page is where you:
> set the frame for the entire relationship
> pre-sell them on your mechanism
> keep them engaged so they actually show up
> handle objections before they even think them
Our clients who implement this see their show-up rates jump from 70% to 90%+.
And the leads who show up are already pre-sold.
@mxochai Hello Everyone, it's a pleasure to be here. My name is Precious.
I started my Email Marketing journey this year and would love e to connect with us all.
Just got myself a Zedtron Pro-A power station from Zedora @zikohercules. Even though there are plenty of foreign options out there, I chose to go local. From now on, if there’s a Nigerian-made alternative for what I need, that’s what I’m buying 💯
@seunonigbinde@OnigbindeCentre Hello Sir
I'm fresh out the orientation camp and just started my service, I would appreciate the opportunity to volunteer at the resource center.
