@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 He advocates for single payer healthcare, free education, robust safety nets, higher taxes on corporations/wealthy individuals, and more regulations to help the working class. All derived from the Nordic.
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 I don’t know who I would name to be honest. Don’t really see any current politician as anti-capitalist.
I’d say neither Bernie Sanders or Zohran Mamdani are anti-capitalist. They both are democratic socialist which are championing policies similar to the Nordic countries.
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 You said “anti-capitalist” not “corrupt”.
When I called out you got super defensive for quite a back-and-forth, and now pretending to had agreed with me.
@mcsquared34 Capitalism is better than socialism because everyone is economically better off in capitalist economies than in socialist economies.
The US could easily have universal coverage like Switzerland or Germany with current tax funding. But that's not what anti-capitalists want.
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 US politicians (99.99 % capitalist) aren’t trying to propose that kind of system.
You: crickets/ignores
US politicians (00.01 % anti-capitalist) aren’t trying to propose that kind of system.
You: fixates on them
Your “fact” is heavily cherry picked for a misleading framing.
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 You say capitalism isn’t why the US doesn’t have universal healthcare. I understood that. Then accused anti-capitalist in US for it. The second part is the disagreement.
So why doesn’t US have universal healthcare? Because US politicians (which are capitalist) object to it.
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 I explained why it was a tangent at a specific moment of the conversation.
Plus, you didn’t just said other countries are capitalist, you also placed fault at anti-capitalist. That’s a key issue of the disagreement, but instead of facing it you keep dodging it.
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 Saying other countries are also capitalist is a tangent. It wasn’t even questioned, so why bring it up? It’s irrelevant. It’s a deflection cause you can’t face facts, so you do just say you’re right cause you said so.
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 Wow looks at that. It was you who started talking about US. Then afterwards I replied to you.
Any other intellectually dishonest thing you would like to say?

@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 Don’t go on tangents. The point is that US politicians are capitalist. The other point is that you are saying US anti-capitalist are against universal coverage. Then said US politicians are against universal coverage.
You don’t see the logical flaw?
@IndianaModerate@mcsquared34 You said “but that’s not what anti-capitalist want”. You have a double standard, capitalist aren’t promoting universal coverage and you aren’t holding them to the same standard.
