Last week Leigh Fire Station Assisted Atherton Station at an RTC involving this 4x4. The driver was under the influence of Alcohol at the time of the incident. Fortunately he escaped uninjured, but it comes as a stark reminder of road safety.

A motorcycle was stopped earlier today for a Section 3 - Road Traffic Act 1988 offence, further checks lead to officers finding out the rider was not insured. Vehicle seized under S165A and rider reported for offences!

Police units, were this evening caught up dealing with a HGV driver who was driving otherwise in accordance of his license. TOR issued and driver sent on his long walk home #SaferRoads

Traffic units were sent to a multi-vehicle RTC last night on the M60 ringroad. Northbound lanes were closed for roughly an hour whilst NWAS and GMFRS colleagues made the scene safe.
