"May you not rest in peace" and "may your birthday and deathday be the same," read the messages on funeral wreaths in Theinzayet township in eastern Mon state. Similar protests took place in many parts of Myanmar.

News that a five year old child was among the prisoners released this week in Myanmar illustrates the level of cruelty of the junta. Children as young as two have been imprisoned by authorities when a parent has been able to avoid arrest. This outrageous practice must end, now.
Facebook has removed my post about Min Aung Hlaing, his families and its business companies. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Today's National Unity Government statement promising full citizenship for the Rohingya is an important step forward for the NUG and for Myanmar. The recognition of the Rohingya as citizens speaks to the unity that the NUG is committed to advancing. Full statement below.
For those in Myanmar, thank you for following me and sharing your stories. It’s been an honour. I’ll be taking a short break from Twitter while I figure out what’s next. But soon I’ll be back & I’ll do what I can to raise awareness of your plight, your bravery, your resilience✨
UN is worried about situation in Myanmar’s Chin State after Mindat fighting - including reports of sexual assault and use of human shields by security forces. It calls for access for aid. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar https://t.co/N0D8errb8B
SAC is blocking the tele-education website used by medical family to continue medical education for students disrupted by Covid-19 and political situation.
If SAC said they want students to learn and patients to get treatment, THEY ARE LYING.
Some 100 Myanmar diplomats now oppose the junta's coup, and the numbers seem to keep rising. The junta has ordered them to return home. I would expect considerable defiance. https://t.co/9JjaM88JlO
A new blow has been struck against the Myanmar junta. The US has sanctioned the SAC itself, not just individuals. AND, those who continue to do business with them can now also face sanctions. I now urge that the next step be taken: turn off the junta's oil & gas revenue spigot.
within 48 hours,#Mindat can become a battleground & thousands of people are facing the danger of being displaced. So,we urge the int'l community to take immediate actions to end all #Violence of the army and protect the defenseless people of Mindat, #ChinState.

The following letter has been sent to the British Government and through the UK Mission in New York to the UN Security Council by the Baroness Cox of Queensbury of London, British Parliament.
What can the world do about the military junta's relentless assault on the people of Myanmar? How about stop enabling it? I'm doing an inventory of nations who have or are supplying them weapons, those supporting an arms embargo and those choosing to do nothing. Stay tuned.
We are aware of increasing violence in Mindat, including reports of the military shooting civilians. Attacks on civilians are illegal and cannot be justified. Evidence of atrocities should be sent to the @UN IIMM so perpetrators can be held to account.
