@markmartin I would assume it has something to do with the fact that "hot air expands" and the volume of air in a tire determines how hot it needs to get to have certain amount of expanding.

@Toby_Christie my vote is fullseason. But if they wanted to do a "playoff like tournament in the last 12 races that give bonus points for each round a team makes into", but again full season points is the main way, I wouldn't complain.

@markmartin Has anyone considered a full 36 race Champ w/ a 12 race end of year "playoff tournament" on top/alongside the reg champ? (think mid season tournament but only end of year using current play off rules with extra pay out for each round)

@DaleJr My opinion of the race. We wouldn't blame Sonoco for bringing a bad fuel mix, because cars ran out of fuel and didn't pit in time. Teams knew how long, roughly, the tires would last. On them. Good race!
