@nawbus For sure they would’ve made effort don’t disregard that, it’s just sometimes there’s little that can be done due to difffent restrictions etc. At least you can get to Manchester…. Via a bus to Crewe and a train onwards😉

@nawbus I presume its more so due to availability of paths the other side, that being between Crewe to Manchester if you were to divert via Alsager, plus other factors such unit balancing/availability/train crew knowledge - definitely understand what you’re getting at though! 🙂

@nawbus @AvantiWestCoast The 3 weeks in August, the line is blocked north of kidsgrove (1 week with nothing from SOT) as well as Stockport, so trains would be unable to run mainline - they could divert via Alsager but due to capacity restrictions and availability of paths this would be unable to happen…

A trip down to Wembley in the Oldham end to watch the NL play off final! A cracking end to the game with Oldham promoted to back where they should be and it resulted in seeing Conlon and Pett lifting a play off trophy once again!🏆
