@HighnessOphelia So it’s definitely a case-by-case basis, but you bring up good points that adoption should be centered around the child, and not families’ personal sads, especially when it comes to pushing their cultures on that child.
@HighnessOphelia I was in the foster care system and literally denied being adopted by my foster family because “no child deserves a perfect life” , so then I was raised by my grandma, and for YEARS I was subjected to unsupervised visitations with bio fam [aka Trauma, USA]
Anyone who has a problem with their kids having the right to speak privately to a healthcare provider is a WALKING RED FLAG, and I'll stand by that statement till I'm cold and dead.
I really wish I was kidding about the $9 local latte…theyre SO good and so kind there, they dont accept tips because they are paid a living wage. But it’s literally a thing we can only afford like once every few weeks if we also get food with it
I miss having a living wage too.
It’s a good way to cut down on coffee expense/consumption — as one latte at our local business is $9. Caffeine headaches are a bitch, but so is genocide.
I visited a gun shop in Indiana once and had to use the bathroom; inside was a portrait of a naked man with a thick wooden board covering where his private part would be. Curiosity got the best of me and I tried to lift the board. It let off an air horn throughout the whole store
