@SeanPJackson @Grady_Booch …which is all part of learning to program. So I would argue that these AI based tools could actually do a lot of harm for people learning to program.

@SeanPJackson @Grady_Booch Learners could be producing programs they do not fully understand by using these tools. Not only does this make it more difficult for them to debug, but it also takes away many of the thought processes they need to go through in order to produce a solution which works…

It was fantastic to spend the day with the @bcs discussing the #DigitalSkillsGap. There is still a lot of work to do, but it is clear from today that we are all pushing in the right direction.

@LTHEchat During covid it was alarming to see how many students were studying a Computer Science course but didn’t have a computer. We make our labs available out of hours as often students may have a computer but not a quiet space to work. A4 #LTHEchat
