@slinkjej@patrician_tv What’s better is after this some other character goes “science, cloning, secrets only the sith know”.
Literally just the writers saying to the audience “hey Star Wars has a bunch of magic bullshit, it’s probably one of those, figure it out”
@Azul091s@kalina_boss@ILMFlinkenstein You say this but it doesn’t need to hold your hand because it’s so absurd and silly that it ceases to be shocking or intense, which is what I think they were getting at
Someone in the thread posted clips from manhunt and those are way more brutal than any MK execution I’ve seen
@CrowbarDevil@ILMFlinkenstein Yeah, imo you need to show a bit of restraint in order to make gore effective.
This just looks like all the enemies are hiding water balloons filled with red paint under their clothes.
@Brotorias@Ancomraven2 There’s no point in engaging with the post because it’s clearly being made in bad faith by a woman hating chud fishing for engagement.
@Ehvun1400@j_aden_w@EisakuOtomo I think insomniac does good enough with spiderman but there definitely were complaints lmao.
Imo the fact they had to give him goofy moving lenses just to mimic the expressiveness of animation is a good indication that live action is an inferior medium for most heroes.
@marten_sorby@luistr640poli@genospsychosis And I think the poster is more of an in universe justification of the shows art style, which originates from the original 2003 series.
If this really was meant to be taken as republic propaganda, wouldn’t it make more sense for dooku’s appearance to not look like a caricature?
@marten_sorby@luistr640poli@genospsychosis Imo the narration seems more like a purely stylistic choice and not one that carries any kind of narrative implications.
To my memory, despite the propaganda like tone, it’s still a factual recap/accounting of events that viewers are supposed to take at face value.
@marten_sorby@luistr640poli@genospsychosis “TCW is framed like republic propaganda”
No it isn’t? Or at the very least there’s no indication that we’re supposed to take any of the events shown at anything less than face value.
@DavidKemp_1983@KeyWatkins51299 Not really. Palpatine needed a competent, loyal army for the republic but a regular army definitely wouldn’t have unquestionably carried out order 66.
@Hey_ItsMuffins@lREECEE9 Well for one maybe stop doing yearly release garbage with the least amount of effort put in to make a minimum viable product packed with live service slop.
At least Fortnite has the decency to not make you shell out 60 dollars for the same product every year.
@Moone_darkside@itsbiggest_@yeathatonesonme@forcefemfatale Besides the fact that we still regularly use words with “tard” often, the only reason “tard” itself might have any negative connotations is because people use “tard” as slang for “retard”, but no one does this with “phile”, “pedo” is what gets used as slang.
@vissykilldozer@JALAKJIRA Right but tcw humanizes far more clones than just Rex and a few select others. The same way you wouldn’t see Rex mindlessly obeying the order applies to basically every other clone we see.
Based on tcw, there’s no shot I see Cody immediately opening fire on obiwan like in rots.
@vissykilldozer@JALAKJIRA I definitely do agree that it is genuinely compelling, I loved the campaign in the original battlefront 2 for this very reason.
IMO the problem is that this only works if you don’t flesh out the clones like tcw show does.
@RickeyRicardoX@BortVerse The actual answer is that it wouldn’t make for a very entertaining fight if they could just instantly crush him and win so the writers don’t have them do that
@MarcsApothecary@EMPORIOSMOM I like to imagine that smashing the camera was the first thing he tried that worked and he assumed that’s how his stand just works and never bothered to see if he could use hermit purple in a way that didn’t destroy the camera
