@WNBA_Analyst What are they optimizing for? Whatever it is, this isn’t it. These 3 have each other’s back because they go way back. So they should stay and get rid of CC. Because keeping her there is selfish… to the detriment of CC, the WNBA, broadcasters, and the fans.
@realroseceline Thoughts on Mixue Group? It’s a franchise model but instead of franchise fees, it sells ingredients and supplies to its franchisees. It has econooof scale in the supplies.
@ImadBouziane@DavidSacks It depends on the goal of the company management. Before this, AP sits among the top of watch brands. They are choosing to lower their status a notch or two to become much richer - better brand awareness, larger market segment, and higher sales on their $40k watches. A trade-off
Over the short and medium term it’s great. Lots of money to be made by the 2 companies. It may raise aggregate demand for the brand in the long term. But the AP brand prestige will never be as high it is today. Could be an acceptable trade-off for existing management and investors.
@JerryCap Shareholder was right if the holder invested in the right things (Google, Amazon, Nvidia). If they held Janus Tech fund, it took 20 more years to break even.
@Mik4eto1@immasiddx I admit that seen the through another angle, it could work for the company. This may raise aggregate demand, which increases the total unit of normal AP sales. Shareholder value goes up with the trade-off of the brand going down in prestige. That may be acceptable to management.
