U2 performs at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, delivering an intimate and energetic show despite the rain. The concert is later released as the film Under a Blood Red Sky. The Red Rocks show is widely regarded as one of U2โs breakthrough performances. Filmed in pouring rain in front of a sold-out crowd, it captured the bandโs raw passion and helped propel them to international stardom. The live album and video Under a Blood Red Sky (released later in 1983) became a landmark release and one of the best-selling live documents of the 1980s.
