Today I asked: after eight long years, how can this out-of-touch Conservative government claim to “protect Ontario” while making life more unaffordable for students?
Instead of answers - the Minister talked about my TikTok and doubled down on OSAP cuts. 🤯 #onpoli#SaveOSAPASAP
Here are the names of those who voted for and against the #SaveOSAP@OntarioNDP motion today.
If you see your MPP on the nays list please feel free to publicly shame them.
Thank you to Elliott Anderson for sharing.
In this op-ed, former premier Kathleen Wynne writes about having to face "uncomfortable, sometimes humiliating experiences" because of information unearthed by FOI requests.
That, she argues, is part of our democracy, and the government's FOI changes will weaken it.
Deep, chronic underfunding is at the heart of concerns around safety and achievement, and two million Ontario kids are paying the price for this government’s neglect of the education system, writes a Peel District School Board trustee.

Graduation isn’t a protest but it’s also not a script written by politicians.
When the Education Minister tells students to keep it “apolitical,” what he’s really saying is: stay quiet.
But under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, students have the right to freedom of expression.
A valedictorian earned that stage.
They earned that voice.
They earned that speech.
And if they choose to acknowledge what’s happening in the world even thoughtfully, even with a few subtle truths that’s not disruption.
That’s perspective. That’s honesty. That’s education in action.
We don’t teach young people to think critically…
and then silence them the moment they do.
That’s not what freedom looks like.
That’s not what Canada is about.
So class of 2026, use your voice!

Canada celebrates its 155th birthday today, but the story of the Indigenous goes back much, much farther.
A brief historic 🧵
As early as 50,000 years ago, the Wisconsin glaciation caused sea levels to fall & people moved across the Bering Strait land bridge.

While celebrating our amazing country today, please take a moment to reflect upon our collective journey toward reconciliation and ending gender-based violence in Canada. Together, we are making a change!

On #IndigenousPeoplesDay don’t only celebrate the beauty and strength in our cultures and communities, but also seek to learn and connect. A great way to start will always be books about, AND BY, Indigenous artists. Support them and their vital work.
If you can, show up to this meeting. We have to keep fighting against book bans. Children have the right to read. The irony of these proposed actions is that it's banning books that harms children, not the books.
