My expertise is in fundamental ontology, which I have advanced so that it can be used across disciplines. I have set the ground for a new generation of tech.
@PeterDiamandis I wish this applied to my 2nd generation cellulosic ethanol production project. I worked with the chief scientist from NREL and we could not find a way to create a profitable enterprise for under $200M without resorting to American incentives like RINS.
I have spoken to with many physicists with every accolade that is bestowed upon that field and I haven’t found a single one that can give an ontological explanation of the phenomena that they examine. They are very good at explaining the relationship between the phenomena, but they are completely out of their depth when they make philosophical claims about the results of their studies. To a philosopher they sound ridiculous.
@newscientist It’s frightening to know that the goal of computer science is to convince rather than to deliver. The Turing Test is a measure of what it takes to make us believe that a machine is conscious. It does not a blueprint for creating a conscious machine.
The most effective way to reduce crime is to give the population the means to afford a middle class life. This doesn’t mean giving them money. It’s about letting them earn a salary from a job rhat is sufficient enough to support a family. Making American great is all about nurturing its people and honoring them for what they do for the country. Let every citizen know that they bring value to the country, no matter what position they hold. Give them the dignity that they seek.
While cultural warriors are in battle with each other, Techsein usurps cultural domination while meeting almost no resistance. In the end, every contentious issue between us will become irrelevant. How can there be racism when every human is engineered? How can there be economic disadvantages when there is no money? How can there be nationalist rivalries when there are no more nations? We will all be cogs in the machine, assigned our roles from before our birth. We will be monitored so that we can not deviate from our assigned duties. Here is the stark reality: Resistance is futile.
@yasminekho My prediction: in 10 years there will 10x more control over human thinking and movement. Surveillance will encompass the genetic to the social. What comes into existence is only what is allowed, and this will include ideas.
@kekius9 While you perceive the event as an accident, I’ll be marveling at the spectacle being assembled for my apperception. Can you pass me the popcorn?
Humans can never live in the truth. We can only be in the untruth. I’m a Heideggerian and so having to explain my statement might take more time than I can dedicate on a post. There are other arguments that I can add that are easier to digest. Here’s one: All things must exist between 2 realms. This is because everything is either on a spectrum or comprised of polar opposites. This makes it impossible for anything to be absolute. The truth can only be a singularity, something without predicates. We, of course, are not a singularity. When things are made up of polar opposites (atoms that make us up are comprised of negative and positive charged particles) they necessarily deliver the untruth. This is the basis of Gödel’s theory.
@Dr_Singularity Shows how little you know about intelligence and creativity which are intimately linked with intuition. We have intuition because we are connected to the singularity of the “I” that is the center of our being and recursive to the singularity out of which sprung the universe.
Death has less to do with survival than it has to do with transcendence. More species have become extinct on this planet than are in existence today. Know that Darwin never stated that survival was given to the fittest. He proposed that survival belongs to the most adaptable. This requires that new iterations must keep pace with the changing circumstances and conditions. This is why no business is too big to fail and why new startups that are the best fits rise to supplant the old guard.
@elonmusk@IterIntellectus I find it strange that you are still thinking of value in terms of money. Will money even exist in the near future? What will be valuable in the world you seek to build?
One day I’ll release my paper after I figure how to protect my intellectual property. But in the meanwhile, I see that your mind is open to the truth of beyng. Yes, all things must necessarily exist between 2 realms. Make this a mantra. Potential is memory. It is the know how given to things from what was done before. The undoing of the braid is the return of the gift of being to beyng. As Dasein we are given agency by beyng in returning the truth to beyng. And, 2nd mantra, Dasein is always in the untruth. It is our for-the-sake-of-which to transcend into the truth of beyng.
The math, logic, and the ontology is very rigorous in my arguments in support of my heuristic model. Even though there is nothing that comes close, I see so much that shows the power of human intuition. I am entirely atheist in regard to my religious beliefs, yet I see human intuition shining through in religion, most notably in Buddhism and Christianity. They leave me in awe with the poetry of their thinking.
