Nigeria belongs to us all, and some people are doing more than saying it. They show up, ask the hard questions, and keep pushing for better even when no one is clapping for them.
This award is for those who speak up, who do not back down until things change, and who keep showing up.

Quick fact:
South Africa remains one of the clearest examples of political liberation without full economic decolonisation.
Apartheid was formally dismantled, but land, capital, and ownership patterns still carry the deep imprint of colonial rule.
#Xenophobia then becomes a dangerous distraction: the anger that should confront unresolved structural inequality is redirected at other Africans.
The flag changed but the ownership question did not. Xenophobia is the tragic diversion designed to refocus the disadvantaged to embrace, instead of confronting who still owns the land and wealth. The poor are turned against other Africans, and we are distracted once again, rather than focus on the shifting Africa for Africans geopolitical dynamics playing out, which is hampered by social media algorithms (for now).
