Great conversation this evening with UK Opposition Leader @KemiBadenoch and Shadow Foreign Secretary @TomTugendhat.

I thanked them for their firm opposition to the hostile Labour Government’s announcement today and its series of anti-Israel policies since taking office.

I welcomed their support for the friendship with Israel and their commitment for the future relations between our countries. We know that we have many friends in the UK, but unfortunately we are faced with the ongoing hostility of the current Labour government.

I also thanked Kemi for her warm wishes ahead of the Jewish New Year.

I predict a likely Netanyahu victory in the October Israeli elections.  The Iranian regime, Arab Islamist dictatorships, the Marxists-Islamists, the Democrat Party, the Woke Reich antisemites, the UN, podcasters, and bot farm operators, will all be upset.  And that is a great thing.  Of course, it's up to the Israeli people.  But it is my hope, my belief, that the Israelis will not do to Netanyahu what the British people did to Churchill after WWII -- that is, vote Churchill and his party out of power.  

A Netanyahu victory is also important for our country.  We are in the middle of a war with Iran, and there is no more steadfast ally anywhere in the world than Netanyahu and Israel.  And despite the usual media efforts to divide our countries, Trump and Netanyahu have been incredibly strong leaders and long-time friends.  The relationship is special and critical.  We don't need or want allies in name only, which best defines many of the countries and their leaders in NATO and elsewhere.  A Netanyahu loss will make matters more difficult for us and the Iranian regime, in particular, will see it as a huge victory on many levels.

This is fascinating.  (See link) I grew up in the same town, went to the same junior high and high school as Benjamin Netanyahu. I am 7 years younger.  I didn’t know him or his family.  They were in Philadelphia for a year or so.  He would go one to be elected Israel’s PM.  I was elected to the local school board while attending law school.  That was enough of elective office for me.  Bibi is the greatest PM in Israel’s history.
