But the truth remains clear: Nigeria’s economy is booming against Nigerians. Many foreigners—Lebanese, Chinese and others—are coming in, yet this so-called boom shows no meaningful impact on us. An economy made conducive for foreign investment leaves Nigerians in those companies without real benefit. Only under this administration do you see a Lebanese, Chinese or Indian doing the same work as a Nigerian yet earning over five times more—even when the Nigerian works harder. This is madness and injustice. Only in Nigeria do you see a foreign company having a separate Human Resource Manager for Nigerian workers and a separate Human Resource Manager for foreign workers. Kindly tell Mr President to address this racism and apertheid. A Nigerian should not earn less than a foreigner for the same job in the same company. In their countries you dare not earn higher, or even the same. Here they reverse it. The same apertheid that emerged in South Africa a few years ago is now happening here, and badly: foreigners get expensive cars, highbrow accommodation, high pay and allowances exceeding a Nigerian’s total salary for equal or greater work. I am not exaggerating. Conduct a secret investigation in top foreign-owned companies—check Nigerians’ payslips against the foreigners’ and compare the actual work. This is happening in Nigeria. If we do not correct it now, it will only get worse.
