A former SSA to Katsina Governor was arrested alongside six bandits over the abduction of children. He was an informant to bandits for months before his eventual arrest.
Recall that Katsina Gov complains that bandits get classified info immediately after state council meetings.
In the name of Allah SWT, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. If running again will not be in the interest of the excellent people of Kaduna North and Nigerians as whole. Then may God give it to another. In the coming weeks, I will be going around by the grace of God to engage the people of Kaduna North in their homes and streets, as well as the stakeholders of our party, the African Democratic Congress, (ADC). I am not entitled to anything and I will work as hard as I can and always do to state our record and convince the public. We will do this while willing to support whoever emerges in the primary election. Regardless of the outcome we will campaign for the candidates in our party with the precision, honesty and transparency we are known for. My focus is still ensuring justice for our dear father, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai but we will be testing this mic from this week Insha Allah. See you soon.
Signed: Jika Hanta
Mallam’s proud son.
What is reportedly happening to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai after court granted him bail should worry every Nigerian who still believes in the rule of law.
If a court has granted a citizen bail, then the expectation in any serious democracy is simple: respect the court, follow due process, and allow the legal process to continue without intimidation or unnecessary drama.
Reports that DSS allegedly whisked El-Rufai away after bail was granted, while his wife was denied access to him, raise very serious questions. This is no longer just about El-Rufai. It is about whether court orders still carry weight. It is about whether state institutions are operating within the law or above it.
No matter how powerful a government is, it must not treat the judiciary like decoration. A bail order is not a suggestion. It is a legal decision that must be respected unless lawfully challenged through proper channels.
If the government has another lawful basis to hold him, Nigerians deserve transparency. If not, then this begins to look less like prosecution and more like political persecution wearing official uniform.
El-Rufai deserves due process. His wife deserves humane access. Nigerians deserve answers. Institutions must not behave in a way that makes citizens feel that justice depends on political convenience.
Today it is El-Rufai.
Tomorrow it could be anyone.
A democracy where security agencies can appear to override the court is a democracy in danger.
Today is the 1st of Dhul Hijja. For those intending to do layya (Ram Sacrifice), remember to abstain from shaving or cutting your nails. Also, remember to increase your acts of ibada - recitation of the holy Qur'an, charity, adhkar, strengthening of the ties of kinship,
When the US sanctioned me for exposing corporate complicity, I trusted people would act. If after nearly a year @bookingcom & @Airbnb still profit from stolen Palestinian property, it’s because too many still use them.
Stop using them now & tell them why.

Spanish footballer Lamine Yamal waved the Palestinian flag.
An Israeli minister accused him of “inciting hatred”.
The Spanish prime minister defended him.
Imagine that happening here!
We strongly condemn the reported attempt to stop El-Rufai’s wife from giving him food while he remains in custody. No matter the politics, no matter the allegation, no matter who is involved, this kind of treatment is unacceptable in any democracy that claims to respect human dignity.
Anti-corruption agencies are not punishment centres. ICPC is not a torture chamber. Detention is not a licence to humiliate suspects, punish families, or turn investigation into psychological intimidation. Even when a man is under investigation, he remains a human being. He remains a citizen. He remains entitled to dignity, welfare, access to lawyers, and fair treatment.
Let it be clear: nobody is asking that El-Rufai should be above the law. If there is evidence against him, charge him properly. If there is a case, prosecute him openly. If there are questions to answer, let him answer them before a competent court. But denying or restricting basic access to family support, especially food, creates the impression that this is no longer just investigation. It begins to look like vengeance.
This is how institutions lose public trust. When agencies behave with emotion instead of procedure, Nigerians stop seeing justice and start seeing political persecution. The rule of law is not tested by how government treats its friends. It is tested by how government treats its critics, opponents, and those it disagrees with.
Today, the target is El-Rufai. Tomorrow, it can be any Nigerian whose politics offends those in power. That is why this must be condemned now, loudly and clearly.
ICPC must explain what is happening. The government must respect due process. Charge him, release him, or treat him strictly within the limits of the law.
A government that uses custody to break people is not fighting corruption. It is abusing power.
Why is this not trending after being commissioned 3days ago ?
Sheik Tijjani Guruntum builds a boarding school for orphans known as “DARUL AYTAM ” Ya Allah bless him abundantly for this sadaqatul jariya 🤲🏽
The denial of visa to The Chairman of BUA Abdul Samad Rabiu by the South African Government is an affront to Nigeria. They cannot have billions of dollars investment in our country and treat such a revered figure with rejection and contempt.Xenophobia is escalating from the streets to Governance. Its time to keep aside history and African brotherhood and deal with this matter squarely.
About 2.6m naira will be the monthly expenses in running the school.
More so , the pupils will not only learn western and Islamic knowledge, but skill acquisition such as phone repairs, shoe making, tailoring etc.
Ya Allah let’s this legacy continue even after Malam’s death 🤲🏽

Lamine didn't raise a Hamas flag. He raised a Palestinian flag. The fact that you all find it offensive to even see a flag of Palestine or them existing as people is a you problem, not Lamine's problem. And its deeply disturbing.
