It seems logical because ceiling fans and GUV go together like peanut butter and jelly- both Far-UVC and upper-room GUV are much more effective when used with a ceiling fan.

The problem is, while ceiling fans and GUV go together like peanut butter and jelly, mixing them into a slurry isn't as good as keeping them a little apart😅

The first issue is that you run into the combination TV + DVD/VCR player product problem- more prone to failure and harder to fix when you do, usually not cheaper than buying them separately.

While the combination might be convenient, you also don't get better results combining GUV and ceiling fans into one unit- you get worse.

Typically, with GUV mounted on the wall and a ceiling fan in the center of the room a few meters away, the room air is gently stirred, moving through the irradiation zone at a fairly slow rate, allowing time for inactivation.

The closer you get to the fan, the faster the air is moving, the less time you have to irradiate it before it moves away. You might get it on subsequent passes, but then it's been through the breathing zone a few times and potentially infected people.

So the low-power UV LEDs typically used on these designs can't really do much compared to the same wattage mounted on the walls, where the air is completely mixed, but slower-moving. Which is why most GUV ceiling fans have been discontinued, and other forms of GUV persist.

So the short version-

Using GUV (Germicidal UltraViolet) with ceiling fans- Great

Combining GUV with ceiling fans- Not so great.

We've been quiet recently because Mark Goodwin and I have been working to write the most comprehensive investigation into Polymarket's origins and ambitions to date.

Coplan has actively tried to obfuscate this company from his story and it's not the only thing either.
